Very good reception. Smiling and pleasant staff. Nicely present. Very hearty meal. Very good value for money. Location in front of the castle and parking nearby.

very good reception despite a well loaded service, a waiting time a little longer, I recommend a menu at 17€50 the lunch for 3 dishes it becomes rare and it is good, simple without chichis.

We enjoyed a tasty meal at the reserve table. The team is welcoming and meats are to fall on the ground! Attention, however, you have to think of booking because in season the tables are taken on board. In any case, we enjoy it!

Very good reception. Nice decoration. The service is really very efficient and pleasant. For me menu at 19,90€ with a nice entry terine and then a good piece of beef, which would have deserved to be a little warmer, with very good homemade fries and a good gourmet coffee in desert. ... the duo chocolate black milk chocolate is really delicious (in photo).

It happens to stumble on La Reserve while you go through Amboise. Had a large bottle of wine to accompany my light and delicious French onion soup and pork fillet. While the wine was certainly the highlight of the meal, the soup and pigs were both pretty. What I really like about French food is the time between courses and the ability to stay while you enjoy a wine and of course coffee to finish the meal. Overall, La Reserve was a nice culinary experience with very pleasant service. I'd come back!

This restaurant definitely deserves better reviews based on my experience. After we toured the chateau, we wanted to eat a place nearby. Every café on the street was very busy, including this one, but they made room for us immediately. The price-fix two course menu was such a bargain. The salad Provençal was simply delicious, and the steak and the pommes were perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and attentive, and since it is directly opposite the chateau the view is very beautiful. We ate outside and I didn't go in, but it looked pretty enough.

That was the place we chose for our last dinner in the Loire Valley. It didn't disappoint! My husband and I chose the menu, 3 courses plus wine. My starter was the highlight of our entire 10-day trip! It was the warm Camembert with honey and toast. That could have been my whole dinner, it was so amazing. My husband also had the French onion soup. We cooked the steakries for the main perfectly, as we asked. The profiterole and homemade ice cream for dessert were great, not the best we had in the region, but definitely good. I've never been so full in my life, but it was worth it. The service was so friendly... we are Americans, but we speak a little French enough to have a little conversation...

Perspective: We are an American couple, were in France for our honeymoon, and I speak a little French. We spent two nights in Amboise and that was one of the two places where we had dinner. In the first night we couldn't get a table, but the next day we made a reservation in the afternoon. The concierge at our hotel recommended it, but we were a bit alarmed when we checked the Yelp reviews. We went anyway and it was great. Other Yelp reviews have complained about the service, and I will only point out that it really helps here (as many places in France) if you at least try to speak French.
