"Not impressed by this restaurant. We were staying in the hotel so thought we'd give this a try. The service was initially too attentive (hardly had chance to read menu before 2 different waiters tried to take our order). Subsequently, we were left our amuse bouche and no one actually explained what it was before just turning around and walking off. For large parts of the meal we were left pouring our own food. while the food looks great, it tastes of very little. We were very disappointed to finish our holiday with such average quality cooking given we had tasted many delights while holidaying in the region. Lastly, we asked for the bill 3 times to no avail. We then just dcided to just leave the restaurant and let them charge it to our room as lost the will to live. Just as we were walking out, we were presented with the bill to sign at the last minute. Overall, would not recommend or return."

In this restaurant and we were again impressed with the nice staff, the excellent and originally presented dishes, we had a perfect dinner outside overlooking the pool. All these at a reasonable price. I would most certainly go back when in Aix and highly recommend it.

We were staying at the hotel and decided to relax a bit and have lunch at the hotel restaurant. We settled on hamburgers, mine was with truffles. First of all, the meat was very finely ground, much more than for a regular burger; I also think they used entrecote. The truffles were a bonus. The flavour, in any case, was exceptional. A well spent €17.

Convenient and pleasant hotel restaurant with both indoor and outdoor tables that we have used several times when staying at the hotel. Food is competent but not over tasty. Beware it doesn't open very prompt;y at 7pm and there can be poor liaison between the waiting staff and the bar so that aperitifs can be hard to obtain when you want them. Staff friendly and competent.

Had a few meals there, lovely decoration, very good quality of food and we found the service truly professional and friendly, for instance they changed one dish we didn't like without a problem. Only thing missing was a better selection of wine by the glass... We also had breakfast during our stay, everything was appealing and you can order an egg dish made just for you. Also available some gluten free food. Lastly we could eat by the pool ou inside for every meal. Ver carta

We ate both Breakfast and dinner here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is very inviting and the table setting attractive. Breakfast is a large buffet. The only problem is that no one or no sign told us that we could have eggs to order. I didn't find that out until after breakfast.Dinner was wonderful. I had a seafood puff pastry for starters. The main course was baked chicken done just the way I like it, that is moist and juicy. Dessert was a Tatin tart which is an apple finely sliced and topped with ice cream.

My wife and I ate here on Christmas day. On this day, there was a buffet and it was the best buffet I have ever seen. There were a number of both hot and cold seafood offerings, including large shrimp, whole salmon, clams, oysters, and snails. There were a few beef and chicken dishes also. Then there were about a dozen desserts plus nuts and fruit. This is probably only offered on special occasions, but it is well worth going. In addition, there were a limited number of people in the restaurant, so no lines at the buffet tables.

We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay in the hotel. The menu did not change. However there was a variety of options to choose from from gourmet burgers and steak to Provençal dishes of Red mullet and ratatouille. We really enjoyed the Burrata starter with 5 types of local tomatoes, olive bread and a pesto dressing. Our one gripe was that the bill was added up incorrectly on both occasions with glaring mistakes. It was sorted out. (This never happened in the other three restaurants that we ate in during our stay in Aix.)The ambiance in the restaurant and outdoor terrace was good with interesting decor and lighting. Ver carta

After sampling many restaurants near our hotel in downtown Aix en Provence, we decided to try "La Table du Roi" (The Table of the King) where we discovered an enticing dinner menu. I started with tartare de daurade royale with a confit of artichoke and vinaigrette de tapenade (a spread made up of mashed black olives, capers, olive oil, and anchovies). Delicious, and a first for me. My guest had fish bouillabaisse with fennel which she said was great. I then had lamb chops with homemade french fries and squash, while she ordered grilled guinea fowl supreme which was prepared perfectly. We decided to try a young rose wine from the Provence region called "La Vie en Rose" which went very well wit...

The food was the standard you would expect for the price. However, the service completely let's this place down. A number of failings result in this poor review. The staff were inattentive and impersonal - I had to make a trip to the hotel bar to get a drink to see me through the 20+ minute wait for a food menu. That's after the restaurant misplaced our booking for a more private table. They were all too quick to take our order second after the menu was in our hands. And to top it off, they got the bill wrong, overcharging us for drinks. They showed disorganisation and a disregard for their imperfections and their guests. I am unimpressed and would recommend you avoid this restaurant on your...
