"in juli had heard some negative comments about their menus. we visited last pre Covid-19 then it was wonderful. so the menu for this week looks yes the 59 and 79€ options are now set with entre/plat only one choice for desserts. we chose the...79€ one, all about eating the service welcoming the atmosphere was so good and even better than our last visit. we all 4 couldn't find anything we could complain about. although the menu is quite descriptive, there is much more on the plate. all courts plus divine amuse bouches and petit four were wow in their own right. each plate was all eaten, portions were good, so they were more than well fed, but not filled, a good balanced menu. yes alternatives are limited two main menu choices, but the full box with 20 cheese options was also divine. to finish the service was brilliantly discreet and the weinglas was filled up after required. will be back soon"

the frame is beautiful, the attentive staff but the contents of the plates leave to be desired. very medium. products without flavor, with unhappy associations. very disappointed because the advertised quality is not at the rendezvous.

We have lots of great restaurants around Bergerac but this has become my favourite (for now). The staff used to seem aloof but the last few times we have visited all has been fabulous. The food was always good but is now an extravaganza presented...in a rather understated way I much prefer the atmosphere now and will come back as often as I can afford Ver carta

invited by our children, table facing the magnificent view of the shepherdac. White card to the chef for a balanced menu that preserves beautiful surprises including a perfectly cooked pigeon. Trust the young sommelier. with 3 young children, change of one of the desserts for my grandson, a feast for him. Perfect and pleasant service, a beautiful address.

This was possibly the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had. I cannot understand the Michelin star. Some of the food was not only sub par, it was not edible. I have had much better meals at local restaurants that are not Michelin recommended much less have a Michelin star. I cannot recommend this restaurant on any level. excellent dinner. Irreproachable service. We went there a little by chance during our stay in the area. When we were booking, we specified that we had a baby stroller. the table that was waiting for us left us a space necessary to install our stroller. dishes cloched to stay warm during the bottle of our child. excellent lunch, refined and appetizing menus. a menu at noon to 39 euros.We took that at 49 euros. both cherry fat and excellent almond, the cod succulent and the delicious red fruit dessert!. the magnificent terrace view on the dordogne. the very good wines, we took a organic wine the dressrtia, really good. and the homemade cocktail in the monbazillac very pleasant. a place to do without hesitation and at least they are local products and refined cuisine! Thank you to the chief.

We haven't been back in five years! What a change! of expensive prices and a limited choice in the revisited kitchen what we did not appreciate because the menu does not offer traditional dishes! it would have taken a mixture of the 2 approaches to French cuisine! We took a dish and a dessert! we had some homemade snacks and good bread and the dishes were succulent and there is a very aesthetic approach to the dishes! However, the tone of the servers is pretentious or emphatic and we were not allowed to goodbye by leaving the restaurant! Unbelievable! c sure we were not customers who report! nothing to say about the content of the dishes but the place is too sectarian! a mix of genres would...

"How to say... The Bistrot de Malfourat is often associated with the Michelin-starred restaurant La Tour des Vents. From then on we expect a formula which, we can well imagine, will not be of the quality of a Michelin star but will have the concern for requirements and quality. Many starred chefs also engage in this type of dual proposition (e.g. Olivier Nasti and a winstub brasserie opposite his starred restaurant in Kaysesberg). Well unfortunately that’s not the case. The tone is set from the entrance where a hanger rack is placed for your changing rooms, we will note the mismatched hangers (we will understand later the reason for this hanger rack). The toilet area is opposite the entrance and a wedge is placed under the door, allowing access to the amenities to be seen. Entrance into the room, the very large room, with a podium at the back. The immediate impression of coming to a big wedding meal, you almost want to look for the bride 's table. But no, it 's a Bistrot . But by what intellectual magic could those in charge of the establishment imagine the name “Bistrot” for this? (they type Bistrot in Google image). Here I feel a little fooled. So, here we are, let 's continue. We are seated at a low table. Yes, a coffee table?! To have a drink with friends in the cozy lounge of a large hotel, yes. But there, a coffee table in a restaurant, placed in a large room? I kindly ask if it is possible to change, but unfortunately no normal tables are available. The view is superb, dominating Bergerac. I look around me, immediately noticing our neighbors ' bench, assembled plywood sheets, stained, on which cushions are placed. Summary. In order to break this feeling of a large party room, some privacy screens between guests are placed, iron shelves on which green plants are placed, the plants are very, very tired... it hurts the heart for them. There are a few panels placed on the ceiling to limit the resonance, but in vain. Do you remember the school canteen, the noise? We are not very far there anymore. As if that wasn 't enough, the desire to impose a disco-type sound background for what I remembered, I thought the moment we were going to push the tables to the sides to make room for the dancers. Well we were there to eat, the dishes were pleasant without being transcendent, nothing to say on this point, neither ecstasy nor disappointment. Wine. We are in Monbazillac, an emblematic place like so many others in France for the love of wine. First glass offered, a dry white wine from the region, round, very pleasant to drink, very satisfied. To accompany a dish I choose a Riesling (German). By the glass. But in fact I discovered that it is not really in the glass, it is in a capsule bottle, dosed for one glass. I 'm going to pass for a reaction , but what the hell is this... it 's level 0 of a wine service. The wines cannot be stored correctly, the waiter does not have the hand for any generosity. I want to understand that business is business, but there... The result was not long in coming, the wine was very average. I add that it frothed slightly, but this was due to a rather rapid dive, I think. So there you have it, a big disappointment. The staff did their best, we know how difficult it is to recruit. I 'll go to the Starry Tower of the Winds later, we 'll see. But please, gentlemen responsible for the establishment, do not call it Bistrot, and do not associate it with your gourmet restaurant.
