"we have eaten two cheeky teenage boys in white horse inn last month. we couldn't have received a warmer greeting. Although the owners were busy john and dawn on Saturday night, the owners left to explain the menu and make sure we feel comfortable. there were logs on the fire and an amazing atmosphere with the locals at the bar that makes the evening even more entertaining. the kitchen was great to get our meals in time (not always the case at a busy weekend in pubs) and the standard of the food was amazing. kudos an den koch! this is not pubic food it is high class restaurant standard. her gravure becomes amazing reviews and quite right. do not miss this place! beautiful ride there, amazing hospitality and first class restaurant! highly recommended!"

"a stunning location for hikers. this beautiful guesthouse was made a place of real gastfreundschaft. beautiful staff that is surprised with a free upgrade, attentive chicken who enjoyed the afternoon sun with us on the terrace and we have good use of the pool table in our room! eating, as expected, was extremely good and we really appreciated the food recordings that bring every beautifully designed plate alive. my only negative feedback would be the very chic Nespresso machines giving me easy, unpaid, freshly ground coffee every day! when we asked, it was fed with breakfast. Finally, thanks for attaching a vegetarian tasting menu for us; it is still a challenge to find exciting chefs that can cook without meat and fish. a truly unforgettable occasion."

"We came here today with family, and our 3 small dogs, as it is a dog friendly place. Two of our dogs are nervous, and are much happier on laps. Both dogs are harmless. We were told to put the dogs on the floor due to hygiene reasons. But in a matter of fact manor. Secondly I ordered a chocolate milkshake, but it was more like a very sweet caramel milkshake. Not sure what went wrong! I did return it back, for it to sent back out to me with more caramel added and even more sweeter, without a hint of chocolate colour. We also ordered several brie, bacon and cranberry panini’s, and was promised crispy bacon. We were served soggy panini’s and the bacon was not crispy. Overpriced for what we received, and generally staff we not overly friendly. Unsatisfied experience"

"I had a short break with my sister and stayed for a couple of nights. The B B, restaurants in the area were all wonderful. The hosts at the B B were superb and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The breakfast was really delicious with fresh fruits, granola and croissants and pastries. The garden terrace is lovely at the side of the cafe. Rooms: The room had good facilities, toiletries, nice views and is comfortable. It was nice eating breakfast outside on the garden terrace. Nearby activities: Helmsley has enough quirky shops to explore over a day or two Walkability: There are many things within walking distance the walled garden, the castle and Helmsley outdoor pool. Food drinks: There are some good restaurants in the area which we booked in advance. The Bantram and the Trattoria did good food. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view"

"we stopped here on Sunday, 11th juli 2021, for lunch. there were 7 of us with 3 adults and 4 children. they were very accommodating and due to Kovid restrictions had to have 2 separate tables on top with the children on one table and the adult on another. they offer them menu for drinks, but the menu is shown on board at their walls, so I assume that the menu changes daily, which I think is fantastic, as it is clearly very seasonal. we really enjoyed a Sunday roast, which they like to publish on the menus, provided that on Sunday all are about their roasts. Unfortunately, they had sold out of the lamb so that we had settled on roast beef. I have to say that it was the best bratbeef we had. the bark is served on a dish with a big Yorkshire pudding and a rich bark sword. another plate contains a medley of roasted carrots, delicate trunk brokkoli, mangetout and roasted potatoes with extra gravure on the side in a small jug of it itself. the carrots were incredible. I would like to know what they did to make them so delicious. they even took care of our incredibly fussy daughter and went out menu and hit a series of American style pancakes, with sausage and stir for her and the pancakes were light, soft and fluffy and a beautiful vanilla taste to them. if this function as an early piece article, I would have them in any case. if they are in the opposite and are looking for a really good meal, do not hesitate and get them for mannion co."
