The accolade of Gastro Pub of the Year 2017 is well deserved. Excellent service, excellent food and well kept beer on every visit. The Star is a joy on the eye too very well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Got married here last year, been back a few times after for overnight stays and to eat. Without a doubt the best place ever, great staff who are always happy to help and the food is amazing. Thank you all for making my birthday so special!

for the first time on the weekend to the star inn for my 60th birthday and it was fantastic. the food was great and we could definitely get the service the best meal we had in a long time had not mistaken. I would recommend everyone, and we will certainly be back.

Completely and utterly fabulous as always. The food is divine and the service excellent. My favourite restaurant in Yorkshire. I have eaten here on several occasions and the food is excellent. I also love going up in to the attic afterwards for after dinner coffee. If you haven't been before it is a must!

Had the most Beautiful meal on Saturday evening. So glad we found this lovely restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff wonderful. The made sure that all the choices I made were dairy free and without meat, adapting some of their recipes to suit. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and a perfect night. Highly recommend.

I wants sure what to expect and was very pleasantly surprise. The restaurant is cosy and not a austere as I had expected my mind's eye telling me what Michelin looks like! . The staff were polite and paid just enough attention to us. As for the food, well! We had 4 different starters. The Oxtail Ravioli was voted our favourite. Very tasty and was dressed with a pretty array of garnish. The jus was so good that there was a rush for the sourdough bread, to mop it up! Main course was dominated by the deer course. Beautiful! Then to finish the meal we had coffee and homemade sweets. The cup choice was a little strange. They looked like they'd melted! Sometimes design isn't better than function!...

Last night for the 21st of my life, what a wonderful evening we had. our first impression was from a small village pub with a dach, how can this be an award-winning Michelin star restaurant? we were not disappointed. the staff was very kindly attentive, eating was excellently described by the staff well. because there were 5 of us with varied flavors, the menu was enough for us all, which is a rare foundation in a Michelin star restaurant) we could not find any mistake what my son came a happy chappy away, as he himself a cook is passionate about cooking over eating, so the chef let him see the kitchen as they were ready to create the dishes we had eaten. so I can thank for all the staff inc...

a stunning location for hikers. this beautiful guesthouse was made a place of real gastfreundschaft. beautiful staff that is surprised with a free upgrade, attentive chicken who enjoyed the afternoon sun with us on the terrace and we have good use of the pool table in our room! eating, as expected, was extremely good and we really appreciated the food recordings that bring every beautifully designed plate alive. my only negative feedback would be the very chic Nespresso machines giving me easy, unpaid, freshly ground coffee every day! when we asked, it was fed with breakfast.
