I have Italian roots and I was looking for an amazing original pizza in frankfurt. I found it, it's really delicious. but must say that I had no nice experience with the staff, which is also important to me, so not sure. when I come back.

If you are very hungry, forget about this place! The service is just incredibly slow and approximate, and they even try to sell their incapability as part of the Italian flavor the restaurant would like (better: dream) to offer. I love La Vela, its local to me and I am biased but it is so worth your visit. Its just north of the Zoo and pretty easy to get to- tram being the best way. Every time we visit we come away saying we...should eat there more the food is just excellent. They have an original stone oven pretty much right in the seating area and the atmosphere is very cosy if busy at times. I thought I knew my pizza having visited Napoli a few times but these guys produce the best- thin and crispy with an incredible selection.
