"I recently went to this restaurant for my hen do with more than 20 coworkers. We had pre-ordered our meals three days in advance, but had to cancel three people last minute due to illness or childcare issues. This left us with a total of 21 guests on the day of the event. We were informed that if any more guests cancelled, we would have to pay for their meals as extra staff had been called in to serve us. Our reservation was for 7 o'clock, but we arrived at 6:45 and had to wait until 8:50 for our food to be served. Despite asking twice about our meals, we were told they were "on the way." We had expected that pre-ordering our food would have saved us time, but we ended up waiting almost two hours. We only had one waitress who also had to serve other tables in between attending to our group. We did receive a discount on our bill, but we had anticipated leaving the restaurant by 9:30 at the latest. Unfortunately, the last of the food was being given out at that time, causing us to miss our post-dinner plans. Overall, my hen do experience was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I understand that catering for a large party can be challenging, but we had pre-ordered our food in advance specifically to avoid such delays."

the service was excellent, but eating was overpriced for what it was and was not as hot as it could have been

Sadly, the dining experience was not great. The food presentation was poor and the staff was rather unfriendly.

Fantastic service, very clean and the food was unreal!! And despite covid rules and regulations the waitress did fantastic with us and other customers never waited and felt relaxed

Unfortunately the menu was 50% out of stock and this meant there was nothing for us to choose, and because we needed a dairy free option this was made even harder by the fact everything left was cross contaminated so couodnt be chosen. Very disappointing! We ended up having to leave and wont be going back.

Our waitress was brilliant but the service was very slow from the kitchen 25 minutes from ordering 2 coffees when initial drinks order was taken and we were still waiting and then had to ask again twice over. Wasn’t particularly busy and seemed plenty of staff so not sure why everything was so slow- food was ok though

Service was absolutely excellent. I can’t remember their names, I think one was Emma and the other a lovely gentleman. But service and friendliness of them both was next to none. You could have been in a luxury Michelin star restaurant the way they treated us, couldn’t do enough for you. Food and drinks were amazing too!

The dining experience was awful. I ordered the burritos and they were soggy, lacking flavor, and supposedly had some sort of bark in them, although I couldn't identify it. My partner had the fajitas and described them as mostly mediocre. The dessert was decent, but the main dish was priced at £17 and was only worth paying around £5-8 considering the quality of the food.

Really disappointing, usually love other branches of this restaurant , but the one at Cheshire Oaks was not up to standard. After booking in good time the maitre d tried to sit us at a table directly in front of the kitchen, and to the side of the waiters station, we refused that table, and requested another. This was agreed to, but we were told we could only have the table until 8pm, at this point it was 7.15. We were then informed at approx 50% of the menu was not available. At 7.30 we had our order taken the clock was still ticking. What food we had was okay, quite tasty, but the overall experience was not a relaxed meal out. Very disappointed!

"Our first experience at a Zizzi… We arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday expecting the place to be packed but happily we managed to get a table straight away we had a nice booth tucked away in the corner. I visited the toilets first of all which, let me just say.. the corridor definitely took me by surprise! Each toilet is in its own little room with your own personal sink, I think it’s the best way to have public toilets. First of all, we ordered drinks which was 2x glass bottle cokes which are the best type our drinks came with a complimentary portion of pasta crisps. We ordered a cheesy garlic bread without the caramelised onions for starter which arrived pre sliced and was really delicious, it could’ve done with a little more cheese though. For mains, my partner had spaghetti bolognese and I had the pepperoni campagna pizza with added chicken. The pizza was delicious, a little unbalanced on the toppings, it was nice and full on the right side of the pizza compared to the left side but I was full by the time I reached that side anyway! Bonus points for the mini pizza cutter, that was brilliant. The food was generally good, my partner said the spaghetti needed a little salt to bring the flavour out but it was a good sized portion and both meals were made with quality ingredients. During the main course, I ordered a couple of “softail” drinks; the Pineapple Punch and the Passion Fruitini I wasn’t very impressed with these, they were far too sweet and mostly filled with ice, I just expected more for from two drinks that cost £9.90. The staff were generally friendly, we did keep hearing one of the chefs shouting at one of his co workers, something about a metal bowl but he was very loud and aggressive not something you want to have on show if you’re going to have a open kitchen in your restaurant. We used the QR code to pay our bill which was a nice and easy way to do it."
