Visited today on a cold Saturday so decided to eat inside rather than outside. We both got a crab sandwich which was on bloomer bread and was absolutely delicious. The home made lemonade was very refreshing with lots of flavour. We will be back.

The seafood looks and tastes as good in the picture. It’s a friendly location on the seafront with the most fantastic crab sandwiches on fresh bread. We were recommended it by a local and they were not wrong. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re visiting the area. Ver carta

Went specifically to buy crab meat in a pot.When got home there was so e white mat sprinkled over the top and the rest was watery brown do called meat.It was hardly eatable.Irang and they apolog8sed so they will obviously be putting things right hopefully.Fish isn't cheap now so it needs to be a hood standard.

One beautiful Saturday, we decided to visit Latimer's to explore their menu. Shortly after, we were enjoying delicious Crab Whisky soup, Smoked Fish Chowder, and fantastic sandwiches. I chose prawn, while my wife opted for crab. The food was so good that we returned the following day for breakfast buns, which not only met but exceeded our expectations.

5star service and the freshest sea food ever was told there was no lobster boxes today gutted travelled so far come once a year the lady in the deli saw my disappointment and said I'll make u 1 up if u can wait a bit just wow how kind was that also had soup/ sandwich lunch the chowder outstanding thank you so much for making our travel worthwhile appreciated Ver carta

Was always one of my favourite places for a coffee and a scone at the seafront but after todays visit I won’t hurry back !!! Ordered 2 Lattes , tea , bacon sandwich , cheese scone and crab sandwich.. drinks were fine but the crab sandwich was presented in a brown paper bag freezing cold and not at all enjoyable the cheese scone was presented in a paper bag pre buttered and not very fresh !! Must the bacon sandwich was nice fresh and hot but again presented in a paper bag … the cost of the above £23 certainly did not feel like value for money

I visited the restaurant today and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a tea, a latte, a cheese and ham panini, and a crab sandwich. After placing my order, I was informed that there would be a 20% VAT charge if we wanted to sit inside because the restaurant is considered a takeout, not a cafe. Despite the heavy rain outside, we were not given this information prior to ordering. The food was average at best and was served in takeaway containers. In total, we paid £21 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. Overall, it was a poor experience and I do not plan on returning.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times to purchase seafood, and while it is always a bit pricey, the quality is worth it. However, the experience of ordering takeaway food was disappointing. After reading other reviews that explained the difference between dining in and taking out, it is clear that there has been a decline in quality over the years. In the past, Latimers was known for having the best crab sandwiches, but unfortunately, our recent experience fell short. We ordered two crab sandwiches at £6.95 each and a portion of chips, which arrived in a brown bag and were very cold. The sandwiches had more bread than filling, with a meager portion of crab meat.
