This restaurant is worth the drive. Food is prepared and presented with casual elegance. Everything is local, farm to table, highest quality. The restaurant itself is modest, but the surroundings are true alpine glory and the meals coming out of this small, unassuming venue are unforgettable. Not to be missed!

One of the Best blind tasting menus I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. A true Michelin experience. A very welcoming staff. The food was exceptional. Original menu. Service was out of this world. Friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to explaining each dish as well as each glass of wine paired with that particular dish. Location is breathtaking with stunning views for the summer on the terrace. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area in and and around Lake Annecy. This restaurant and experience is second to none in the region.

We went to dinner in this establishment on the recommendations of friends: everything sounds right: starting with the kindness of the sandrine, owner and wife of the chef, whose gentle voice has only equal his goodness and professionalism. chef cuisine, favario florien, humble, excellent, just, lying and mature! We absolutely loved our visit! The food was incredibly tasty, delicate and beautifully executed. The concept of farm to table was greatly appreciated and there was innovative use of simple ingredients together to create an explosion of flavours. We loved it!! We had dined the previous night at a two Michelin starred restaurant and found Auberge de Montmin to actually be much nicer. If you’re looking for stuffy, stuck up and incredibly attentive to service, this might not be for you. HOWEVER, if you’re going for a more casual, homely and ultimately splendid flavours I cannot recommend this enough. The two ladies who took care of us were incredibly pleasant and friendly and the food just speak... Ver carta

Beautiful location, warm hosts, and delicious food. One of our best meals in Annecy. Sandrine has the amazing people person ability to make you feel like a loved close friend. You get to have your appetizers and a cocktail outside to enjoy the beautiful view, then retire to the inside for the main courses. If you can’t drink alcohol they can make you a nonalcoholic version of their house cocktail that tastes basically like a mojito, my favorite. Highlights for me are the 2 appetizer courses with that savory cake-bread (a canelés? , tomato 3 ways dish, the veal main course with crispy caramelized onions and sweetbread, the lemon meringue dessert and the chocolate stunner at the end. However, our visit was marked by some disappointing points which affected our satisfaction. First of all, we regretted the absence of the owner at the end of the meal; her departure without greeting us was noticed and gave the impression of negligence to her departure. "we visited as a party of 7th after having eaten here before during a family holiday, we immediately decided to come back and take our friends with us. our waitress was beautiful and spoke well English. the atmosphere was great and was part of the reason we had returned. I ordered the steak and right away when it arrived, I could see it was a plate full of fat. I have worked in restaurants myself, hate complaining and only ever, if it is good reason. not only the steak was a fat plate, but the few small pieces I tried to eat tasty. because it was €20, my people insisted that I say something. the waitress didn't know where to sit down, she only took to the kitchen to guess that there was nothing that could be done, and that was how it was. I was offered to order another court, but already spent €20 on an insensitive court I rejected. the following day our friend was extremely uncomfortable to be sick and had an annoyed bauch. if we had been in the united kingdom, we would have reported this to the foods standards agency, but we are not sure how and who should report it in France. it ruined our friends last night in annecy when she was too uncomfortable to do something. she had steak too. it is safe to say that we will not return next year on our annual trip to annecy, and I strongly recommend that the customer service is addressed in this restaurant!"
