"Having stayed at the hotel, and satisfied, we salived as beneficiaries of a smartbox “Michelin Star Tables and Tables of Excellence of €”; all the more so because the site of the “Bagilliage” boasted a “sleek and delicate cuisine”, and knew this house for a long time. We understand the inherent fee of commission, but we are offered the menu "tasting" to € with aperitif! The restaurant room is immense, beautifully decorated with a magnificent "Josèpha". Tasted dishes are hearty, the products cooked with “high quality” but really lack finesse and elegance in the plate for a beautiful gourmet table; One does not prevent the other! In detail, the mini rolls/foliage used in aperitif are not very good, the truite gravlax is excellent but not too packed by the copier "chip-basilic" variant. My husband enjoyed the fillet of dirt with his perfectly executed cooking, just like the poached foie gras and the calf ris. On the other hand, all the sauces were present in the dishes were really lacking in onctuosity, much too liquid. We also told the person at the reception who asked us if “It was? Overall, we spent a pleasant stay, with the kindness and professionalism of the staff to be emphasized, both at the hotel and at the restaurant."

We went to the hotel's restaurant this Sunday noon. splendid room, very nice decoration. fast and impeccable service. menu: quality products, home-made and culinary know-how, it was very good. If we go back by dirt, we'll come back.

a hotel that has only qualities: comfort of the rooms, very original decoration, friendly reception, excellent restoration, content prices, good location in the village of Salers... and cherries on the cake, an electric socket offered for the night to my electric car. only happiness!

Stayed for 3 nights with my bicycle club. Lovely, very helpful staff, ready to give local advice. (The only point that might be improved is to have wholegrain bread on the breakfast menu, especially when it's a sports team in town! However, we had excellent dinners and service on our three nights.

In a group of 17 people, i.e. 9 rooms with evening meals and breakfasts, we were surprised to see ourselves charged the full price of a room which was canceled within less than 3 months following the conditions... D On the other hand, for the evening meal, the butcher's room was nervous and unbearable for half of the guests. Reported during our payments. No commercial gesture

"Salers is a beautiful, if touristy town. It has many restaurants, but if you are looking for something other than the Auvergne staples of pancakes, truffade and ham the field is a lot narrower. Having checked over the menu, L'Evasion looked like it could offer something different. The set menu was slightly over 20 euros - more expensive than the competition, but more interesting. The trouble was, the starter (falafel) did not appeal to me. I asked if I could change that for one of the other starters on offer but was told very firmly that I could not mix menus. Why? If that is what makes the customer happy, then why not let them. I fully accept that I would pay more, but the waiter was not to be moved. As other diners came in they would be shown to a seat but then made to wait some time for a menu. I noticed the waiter twice take menus from people after they had ordered and walk back to the bar to put them away instead of giving them to the new arrivals who in one case he had to walk past to get to the bar. After receiving a menu there would then be a ten to fifteen minute wait for the waiter to take the order. My wife had the set menu, which she very much enjoyed. I went off menu and ordered the croustillant de gambas. This was lovely - stir fried vegetables in a sort of crispy tube with gambas and a thai-style coconut milk broth. As my wife could not eat all of her main course (salers beef with lentils and aligot) I helped out. It was also very good. Her desert was a sort of cheesecake with ice-cream whilst I went for the excellent cafe gourmande. I can't really fault the food. With an apero, a glass of wine and a coffee for my wife the bill was about 60 euros. Quite expensive by local standards, but worth it. The quality of the food deserves a "good" rating, but the service, I'm afraid, drags the overall rating down."
