"We were wandering around the old part of Tours, looking for a place for dinner. This meat-centric little spot was crowded with French people, which is usually a good sign in a French town. On the entrée menu (that’s French for appetizer, an “entry” into the meal) there was nothing not meatly. I chose the terrine of chicken livers, which I’m sure had some chunks of either pork or veal in there to give it texture. My adventurous hubby chose the Pied de Porc Farci: Stuffed pig’s foot. I was hoping he’d get a real pig’s foot stuff with something yummy but instead it was a mixture of the meat from the foot, mushrooms, a little ground veal and shallots, wrapped in caul fat and braised. I liked the flavor but the texture was a little off-putting. Then came the main courses. Holey moley. Giant plates. Hubby got the grilled sirloin, I got the lamb brochette. Each came with frites and salad, and either alone would have fed both of us. With a 50 cl bottle of rosé from the region, the price was more than reasonable. We’d go back!"

Two of us had the onglet steak, huge portions although the onglet was not as tender as I've had elsewhere.

This restaurant is owned by a butcher., therefore the meat is excellent. It is small and always busy so you need to reserve. Simply served with cihpa and a variety of sauces. not for vegans! Ver carta

Saw this place whilst having a walk around Tours. Had to wait for a table but it was well worth it. Best steak I've tasted, cooked just right and excellent value. I'd Defo go back if in the area again. Cheers.

We were here because a local habitant said that was a goog place to eat a good meat but we ordered the " entrecôte" that was hard as a rock. We ( me and my husband left without touching the meat - only the french-fries that was berable and payed 41,00 Euros.

We were a party of 6 and we had three different cuts of beef, the tenderloin was the only one that could be cut easily with a knife, the other pieces were thin and somewhat tough, they brought 4 sauces for the meat, put them on the table, no explanation and left, won't be back. We have eaten at 3 other restaurants on the same street and they were great. Ver carta

Can't recommend this little restaurant too highly. As a wine lover, it is a real treat with great Bordeaux wines at VERY reasonable prices. Spent a fortune and worth every penny. The menu is simple and well-priced. The fois gras starter was delicious, though the star was the beef - stunning. We had a table right next to the road, which was fine (very French).

We chose this by chance and it proved to be one of the best meals we had on this trip.Our French is not that good but the staff were very helpful, we had the steak well done by French standards so was medium to our taste.Home made chips, decent salad and if your up for a desert try the creme brulee. Such a good meal we came back again.Price two courses couple of drinks a bottle of wine and coffee €90.
