"Le Bouchon Provancal was recommended to us by a local couple we met in St Raphael. The restaurant has a great preset menu. I ended up ordering the fois gras and the lobster and both were mouthwatering. Great value as well, 3 course meal for eur 38 (and that was the more expensive menu as well) ... excellent wine list as well. The lobster was absolutely amazing, I am still dreaming about it. The staff were extremely accommodating. My boyfriend is vegan and going to this restaurant was all for my pleasure. I expected my boyfriend would have to eat a green salad with a baguette, but the waiter went above and beyond to create something he could eat and they ended up serving a very french vegan meal. I was extremely impressed. The only reason why I am not giving this place a 5 is the desert .... I ordered a mouleux au chocolat, my absolute favourite .... but unfortunately, once I dug into the desert there was no melting of the chocolate, the cake was fairly dry. I was a bit disappointed to say the least but considering how amazing the rest of the food was and how accommodating the staff had been, I'd go there in a heartbeat."

The Bouchon Provencal is not to be recommended for tourists. The attitude of the staff and the food is not really suitable for non-french citizens.

Booked a table after reading the reviews on trip advisor, and was not let down.Great atmosphere friendly service and delicious food. Both my partner and I enjoyed a faultless three course meal and came out of the restaurant with a smile on our face. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I went here with my in-laws who live in Saint-Raph and never eat out in their own town. Which I can understand- a lot of the restaurants cater for less-than-discerning beach tourists. But one evening we ate here, and it was actually perfectly fine. Which says a lot in this context.

This was our second visit in 3 months and we left satisfied.Good home cooking, the chef is talented.Delicious beignets fleurs de courgettes, superb authentic aioli, unfortunately on fridays only.It is oneof the better restaurants in St Raphael frequented by locals who know about genuine good food.

We were very fortunate to be recommended this authentic place by friends residing in St Raphael. This is not a tourist trap. it is perfectly located in beautiful St Raphael, just by the market, and the short carefully thought menu spoils you with Provençal cooking at its best.We cannot wait to go back on a Friday to enjoy the very special aioli.

I could hardly manage to eat the generous range of sea food balanced on my plate. a langustine positioned with claws around a potato towered over the mixture of shellfish . A range of fresh vegetables lurked below. The food was delicious full of flavour stylishly presented. The restaurant was fully booked and mostly local people everybody eating with enjoyment My husband was delighted with his fois gras starter and well presented scallops. We wanted to return for lunch the following day but sadly our train times did not allow us enough time.

To us it is unbelievable that this restaurant is not ranking in top in Saint Raphael. Situated in the centre of the old town - away from the newbuild artificial yachting ghettos where the sailors eat probably without knowing which Miditerranean town they are in - you really feel at the centre of life... Close to the old church, the food market and many cosy bars and cafés. Especially if you reserve one of the tablet in free air you will have a show watching life passing by.We had zucchini flowers for starters, deeeelicious, then the most noble fish of them all, turbot, very well cooked with interesting pumpkin and other stuff... and for dessert an apricot dessert in three variations that mad...

We stumbled across this restaurant during our stay for the Euros and over 9 days we went back every day. The set menus, the a la carte, the wine list all proved too good not to keep coming back. If the food and wine weren't enough, the owner and his waitress were the quintessential hosts. They served French food from the region which even has influences from Italy, just up the road. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation and the choice of local wines translated into a gastronomic experience which will be remembered for a long time. Eat inside, or weather-permitting, on the terrace, just off a small town square. You'll smile at the idiosyncratic way the menu is delivered to the tabl...

Le Bouchon Provencal is perfect for great French food. Located away from the water, near the museum (museum is free BTW), it is cozy (seats 24 patrons inside), and they make their food right there. The desserts and cheeses are fabulous, but so are the other courses. I had the pate de foie gras with chutney on the side, and it was rich and flavorful; my wife had a marvelous remoulade with bits of langoustine. She had the braised lamb, and I had kidneys with mushrooms. (They had many dishes more appealing to Americans, but I wanted something you can't get at French restaurants in the US. Also, if they could make kidneys that are wonderful, it means all their dishes would be excellent.) They we...
