"Brissac-Quincé is a delightful little town, with a good choice of restaurants. We found a parking spot on place Tertre (free, s it was lunchtime) and saw le Haut Tertre nearby.Outside, "le Haut Tertre" calls itself a crêperie: but it's more than that, as the menu outside shows. The terrace had several smokers, so we chose to eat indoors. The room is wood-floored, with plain wooden tables and chairs. The decor is mainly about bric-a-brac it seemed. The lunchtime menu du jour main course was rabbit: which looked and smelt delicious. But, with an outside temperature in the high 20's (°C) we felt a salad more appropriate. My wife chose Vrillaut (a regional charcuterie speciality) with capers; I chose the caribbean-spiced crab. It's difficult to say whose was the most delicious: I enjoyed my crab hugely but my tasting of the vrillaut was inviting, too. There were plenty of salad ingredients, in quantity. High marks for the bread too - nicely crusty. The house Loire white wine was lacklustre (after what we had been tasting that morning). For sweet my wife chose a crêpe with caramalised mandarin oranges, whilst I went for the sweet of the day - sliced fresh peaches in a gateau. My wife loved her's (too sweet for me); mine was a disappointment: the whole thing was too dry, even the peaches. With coffee for two (good quality), the bill came to €43: which we felt was a fair price."

In France for pancake day so called in. Prompt service, great Crepes and Cidre. Set lunch looked good too.

Good food for a fair price. The menu has been simplified in recent years and seems to be better for the business as a creperie rather than bistro.

This is a quiet little creperie with the usual fares you can find in most other crepe restaurants. Nothing exceptional. It's a bit slow. Great if you just want to relax. Avoid if you are in a hurry.

Lovely little creperie - very special duchess crepe flavours to savour, duck; goats cheese & raspberry vinegarette was to die for; husband had the super complex which was also very good. Highly recommended for food - service could maybe do with a smile - would definitely return

An earlier review says it's perfect to stop by before or after a visit to the chateau, and that's exactly what we did. It's busy little crepererie, but busy for a reason, that's because it's very good!Really nice, well presented food and reasonably priced. All in all, very content.

We happened upon this small creperie before we went on a tour of the Chateau Brissac across the street. We were delighted with our good fortune. I had a buckwheat crepe with smoked salmon, sauteed leeks, creme fresche with lemon, bits of parsley and a wedge of lime. My wife had a buckwheat crepe with razor thin slices of cured ham, and a melange of peppers, tomatoes and onions. Both were just delicious and light and refreshing on a hot, sunny day. Service was friendly and prompt. Ver carta

Set on the edge of a small square and 3 mins walk from the chateau this is a gem of a place. The service is very good and the menu has something for most people. Meat Mussels and veggie. Everything is cooked to order. The waitress moves around the place at a 100 mph as she is so busy.We chose to sit outside, and watch the world and his dog go by. I had a Gallette with egg mushrooms and bacon, and the wife had fish cakes with salad. Well prepared food, deserts to die for, a very pleasant meal.Good access spotless modern kitchens and loo.Recommended.

Like several others who have posted reviews, we called here on spec at lunchtime and sat outside in the sun. We ordered the Nordic salad and the sardine salad, both were excellent and were accompanied by a half litre of local Sauvignon blanc. This was so nice that we asked where it had come from, which turned out to be the local Cave, so we went afterwards to order some to take home! For desserts, my wife had the crepe with caramel sauce and roasted almonds, whilst I had the cafe gourmand. Again, excellent food nicely presented. Friendly service, lovely locals eating next to us, altogether a memorable lunch. Thank you.
