Decent food, adequately presented. We ordered beef and pork, and frites/steak for the kids. Pork dish was probably slightly undercooked and I personally did not appreciate the 'porky odour '. The overall experience and service was great restaurant has an elegant feel, modern deco and a measured ambience, not overly boisterous, but not quiet either. Unexpectedly pleasant find. Ver carta

We discovered this restaurant three years ago and now visit every time we are in the area at least three times a year. We have never had a bad meal, or more to point the meals have always been excellent. Not expensive either. The menu is not huge although something for everybody and this probably explains the quality of each dish. Wise to book as gets busy even during the week.

I don't often write a review, only when something is exceptionally good or poor and sadly this was the latter. The food was well presented and both of our steaks looked perfectly cooked but they were more or less inedible. They were the toughest and chewiest steaks I have been served in a restaurant. Not over or undercooked, just terrible. I wouldn't eat here again and can't recommend. We didn't complain as we don't speak good French but I certainly would have at home.

This was probably the most distant restaurant in La Roche sur Yon from our car parking space by the bus station but was well worth the walk! We had looked at many restaurants on the way and had been impressed with the range of cuisines on offer and the fact that many were buzzing with life. Le Karo is situated on a high walkway next to the market hall and has a large terrace and indoor space. The clientele is almost exclusively French and is clearly the sort of place where young professionals take new girlfriends or colleagues meet up after work.
