"This was probably the most distant restaurant in La Roche sur Yon from our car parking space by the bus station but was well worth the walk! We had looked at many restaurants on the way and had been impressed with the range of cuisines on offer and the fact that many were buzzing with life. Le Karo is situated on a high walkway next to the market hall and has a large terrace and indoor space. The clientele is almost exclusively French and is clearly the sort of place where young professionals take new girlfriends or colleagues meet up after work. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent with amuse bouche being provided at the start of the meal. There was an error (in our favour) on the bill which we pointed out to the manager this was dealt with very efficiently and we were not charged for our coffees as a thank you. All in all a very pleasant evening out so definitely would recommend. Probably best if your French is reasonable to best enjoy the experience."

"In this time of containment where restaurants are closed, the p'tit marsh to choose to make the sale to take away in order to work anyway. By solidarity with them and because it is an excellent restaurant very overwhelming, I made an order, certainly small, but I was not disappointed. Enter a salmon dish with a delicious red beet sauce! And a very hearty vegetarian bowl with vegetables that I rediscovered and hot lawyer a real treat. It's very good, not expensive. Thanks to the Cheffe de cuisine!!! Too good! I'll be back! So be in solidarity, too, come and enjoy, in these morose times it is only pleasure for your taste buds. In addition you will do a good action!!!"

"The view from the few tables out front will be all the better once the major reconstruction of Les Halles is finished but it’s still a pleasant place to sit and I was warmly welcomed by monsieur le patron. I opted for the salad Thai Landaise which is duck with beautiful crispy salad vegetables and sweet potato galettes or cakes. Monsieur was anxious, given my poor French, to make sure both when I ordered and when it was delivered, that I understood the duck was raw and ‘cooked’ by the marinade. He needn’t have worried , it was superb and good value at 11 euros. The plate of 3 cheeses at 4 euros is excellent and with a glass of red, I was more than happy. Lovely food, nice people."

"If you find yourself in Roch Sur Yon then a block of the main square is this fantastic resteraunt. Luckily I had other friends find it and drag me along. I love pizzas and this charming place now has its named etched in the top 3 I've had in the world. (The other two were both from places now gone, one on Huntington drive, Monrovia, California and the other in South Yarra, Melbourne Australia) There is a saying that you shouldn't expect great food from places that have pictures on the menu. Luckily for us they did have pictures as our French is very poor, but only 1 or 2 pictures. Although there is a range of pizzas and other fare on the menu, the choice was down to these 2. I honestly cant recall the name of either, but we each picked the same one that seemed to have a range of hams, and cheese on it. I added champignons (thats about the only french I know) and my friends did as well. Note: the pciture was not itself of the best quality! To cut to the chase the pizzas which came to our table quite fast, were FANTASTIC. I cant recall savouring a pizza with a knife and fork for so long. A good quantiity of toppings and a very fresh base. Don't know what else to say but the title speaks for itself Service was also very good seeing the place was full when we arrived (now we know why). There was no problem getting drinks during the course of our meal. So give it a try, you wont be dissappointed If only we weren't in town for just a weekend!"
