"Coinced between two appointments in this neighborhood where a sandwich costs an average of 8€, I was starting to despair. I'm destitute and frigorized, pushing the Pastel door. It's 1:00. The service's in full swing. Men in shirts or working blue eat simple and appetizing dishes in a light brouha in the middle of the waitress waltz. I get lost and I lose sight of my goal: to find a restaurant that accepts, at lunchtime, that I sit warm, for a simple coffee that I want to settle in blue card. I'm exposing my shameful criteria to the bailiff. I expect to get thrown, more or less politely. What a fool! Ma'am tells me a small table close to the entrance, I'm setting up. I then spend two delightful hours sipping my coffee by bake. I listen to the conversations that go from good train around me and at the counter, we are in an inhabitant's place: the first names are fusing, we're taking news, a waitress plays with the words flaked with a customer, consumers claim their preferential rate at the cash transfer. Thank you. I recommend this establishment. I'll be back for lunch this time."

Entre pizzas, coucous et cuisine traditionnelle, j'ai choisi le confit de canard, et il était bon, servi rapidement, dans un cadre certes vieillot, mais sympathique.Patron, et serveurs/serveuses sont souriants, prévenants, et efficaces.Et les prix sont très raisonnables A recommander à ceux qui travaillent dans le quartier et à ceux qui y passent. Le rapport qualité prix est bon pour déjeuner le midi quand on travaille dans le coin. Le service est efficace et courtois. La calzone que j'ai prise était correcte sans plus.Le tiramisu aussi.Bordeaux au verre acceptable.En revanche la décoration aurait besoin d'un sérieux coup de rafraîchissement. L'absence de porte manteau oblige à mettre son manteau plié sur le dossier de la chaise dont l'assise est complètement défoncée.Ce sont ces conditions pour le moins médiocres de confort qui nous conduisent à ne donner qu'une note moyenne...

The side street location is perfectly off the well trodden track but close enough to some major attractions. This was an impulsive pit stop for the 2 of us, and one we didn't regret. The young lady serving was very friendly but not to the point of being interfering as can be the case. Steak Onglet and Tuna Salad were faultless and decent beer and wine on the menu. With the front doors opened back on a hot day this was restaurant was just ideal, some may prefer air conditioning but I prefer the open air, the elevation did mean the shady side of the street in the afternoon in late May. Reasonable prices for central Paris. We would certainly recommend for couples...
