"This small neighborhood place has so many of the qualities that keep us coming back to France. A warm and genuine welcome is assured. While there are only four choices in each round (appetizer, main course and dessert), they are wide ranging and perfectly executed. The wine list is brief, but well chosen and fairly priced. The setting is somewhat austere, but honest and clean. Some dishes are traditional, for example a hearty and lovely lamb stew served in cocotte with falling off the bone meat, hearty white beans and a sauce with some dark beer. Some are experimental: an appetizer of a puree of smoked trout and beets sandwiched between halved chocolate macaroons with a garnish of parsley and chives. Desserts, a caramel tart with dried fruit and an all chocolate composition were unique.A lovely evening that we would be delighted to repeat."

A locals' restaurant. Small and good home cooking. Away from the tourist masses and all the better for it. Good prices too....

Everything from place and service to food and wine is to be appreciate. Advices are cleaver, food is delicious, wine very good.

Very friendly, flexible ownership/chef. We had a group of 15 people and they bent over backwards for us. The food is typically French and creative. Good value. Charming.

Traditional and unexpected food on the board (varys) in a small joint perfectally situated in a calmer part of the city of Angers. They offer menues consisiting of either two dishes or three to excellent prices. Ver carta

A modern twist on simple dishes which resulted in exceptional food. The owners were very welcoming and wines are well priced. Looks ordinary from outside but well worth a visit. We shall book ahead next time to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended!

The unassuming facade of the restaurant hides a hospital staff that serves authentic food that pleases the palate. It felt like wer were eating at a friend's and he would just whip up dishes, depending on what kind of produce he could get at the local market. The food were reasonably priced and value for money. A really sweet restaurant.

My family and I loved our visit at this restaurant. As we struggle to speak French we were pleased to still be welcomed and accommodated very well by one of the owners who spoke English and helped us through the menu. The food was absolutely unreal, brilliant French cuisine with real flavour and a beautiful presentation. Very much recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Angers, warm atmosphere, excellent food and great service. Ver carta

Excellent meal in this local restaurant, close to the Hotel D'Anjou where we were staying. Short menu-5 or 6 choices per course ,classic straightforward French cooking ,€31 for Dinner 3 courses, even with a short menu it was difficult to choose all would have been good.Wine similarly short list but excellent including a wine of the month offer. Not a Michelin star type of place although features in their guide, quite informal and just very good honest food.

We went to this place based on its Michelin and Tripadvisor reviews/ratings. What an enormous letdown. The food was absolutely ordinary - a ravioli served in a soup bowl with watery cheese sauce, a pork dish of almost no flavour and overcooked/dry, and a desert that tasted as though it had come straight out of a cheap take-away. I can see absolutely no reason to recommend this place - or to understand why the Michelin people rated it as they have. Go elsewhere would be my advice!
