Le Synopsis - Carta

sometimes a pizza is just too big so they have a mini option which left room for a huge artisan ice cream. the Pizza was wonderful everything fresh and delicious. The service, she was the sweetest person, the atmosphere reflected the waiting staff with a gentle hum of happy customers.this meal was also less expensive than expected.

One week into a two week trip to the south of France and tonight's meal was the best. We enjoyed the appetizers and the pastas. Unfortunately, the servings were plentiful and we were too full to order dessert. The waiter offered us a limoncello (on the house!). This is a family restaurant and it shows! We highly recommend this restaurant.

After a long hot day at the festival this really was a treat. Fabulous pizza with an excellent choice on the menu. Recommend eating out the back au terrace, shady and cool in the early evening. Staff really pleasant - attentive but not overly so. Good choice from the wine menu and not expensive. Pitcher of house rose went down well. Thoroughly recommend. Ver carta

we had seen the wood-fired many times and thought it was a good place to eat. in our last night in avignon we decided to try it. first we just wanted to pick up and take back to the apartment and then decided to stay in the restaurant and eat. the pizza was just as we hoped. the crust was perfectly crunchy and the ingredients were fresh. they had a great choice of crying on the glass. it was a very nice turnkey meal to enjoy in avignon!

After reading the reviews and staying close by, we were really looking forward to eating here.We saw a lady arranging a table outside so I politely asked, in French, if they were open yet. She said not yet and waved us away. I then asked what time they open, and she rudely waved us away with another "not yet" without lifting her head. I then noticed the hours of service at the door: they opened 5 minutes later.Would it have killed her to ask us to return in 5 minutes?Luckily there are plenty of more welcoming places with good reviews around this one. Shame.

Our family of five enjoyed the delicious pizzas at Le Synopsis. Everyone was delighted with their choices. The pizzas were a perfect size for hungry diners - although, sadly, no room for dessert. The prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the pizza chef who could also speak English, he was happy to make a customised pizza for one of us, no problem. The waitress was only too happy to recommend a wine which was delicious. We had a great meal and would happily recommend Le Synopsis for a enjoyable and affordable pizza feast in Avignon. Ver carta

Synopsis is located on a quaint little side street that makes a nice entry into a cosy restaurant! We had a wonderful meal here, huge on taste, presentation, and portions! We tried a pizza, and ordered the classique size which was very big, too much for one person. The salad too, was more than enough. We tried the salad with little toasts topped with warm goat cheese, and sun dried tomatoes, drizzled with honey. What a taste delight! To top it off, we had the ice cream, and it was perfection! Synopsis : I would love to go again for a repat performance! A warm greeting at the beginning, and friendly, efficient service throughout the meal.

We were SO in the mood for pasta, and the restaurants near us were all booked up. We called Le Synopsis at 7:40 and were able to make a reservation for 8:00. My friend ordered the linguine with pesto, and I got the penne aux legumes du Sud. The pasta was perfect, and there was just the right amount; so we were satisfied but not stuffed. The pesto was delicate, and very flavorful. My dish had delicious oven roasted eggplant and peppers in it. We finished with pistachio ice cream (and whipped cream) for me, and a café gourmand for my friend: an espresso with four miniature desserts. Our server was delightful, using English when our French didn't quite make it. We had a lovely evening out.

The food is good (although not great) here but we could just not get past the rudeness of the staff - far beyond anything acceptable, even in France where curt service is legendary. I'm talking about servers physically shoving customers waiting to pay at the narrow cash area in order to get by ("excuse me" would work better), ignoring tables trying to catch their attention, unwillingness to answer questions about the menu, and uncomfortable public bickering between employees in the middle of the restaurant. Seems like this is just the negative culture at this place - which kind of gave me indigestion. There are several other nice places nearby to choose from where staff have some professiona... Ver carta
