"My hubby, daughter and I have just returned from the gastronomic experience of a lifetime! The three of us opted for the main course and dessert option, but Antonia brought us creamed anchovies and chickpea tapenade (for our veggie daughter, who so far had found eating in France a bit of a challenge) to whet our appetites for the amazing culinary delights that were about to come our way. This surprise on-the-house hors d'oeuvre was the start of an absolutely exquisite dining experience and in keeping with the standard of cuisine we were about to be served. I had the duck breast in raspberry confit, a dish I'd eaten in a top of the range French restaurant in London a couple of years ago, which up until this evening I had rated as outstanding - however, Russell, tonight I concede defeat, you've surpassed all my previous experiences! The steak and the veggie option were also of the same high standard as were the desserts. Who remembers rhubarb crumble from school? Bring your school cooks to see how rhubarb should be prepared - made into the smoothest of purees and served on top of a cheesecake, lovingly garnished with a sprig of fresh mint and beautifully served in a glass tumbler. And of course, culinary fayre can only truly be enjoyed if it comes with passion, warmth and a huge welcome. Antonia scores top marks in this department - a lovely lady, totally bi-lingual and bi-cultural, who has got the anglo-franco mix absolutely spot on."

"If you are a real amateur of gastronomic burger those you eat with a knife and a fork and not by hand by putting it everywhere), then you are at the right address! here, no pseudo homemade fries either, but succulent artisanal potatoes with a delicious homemade mayonnaise sauce as well. here everything is done with love and prepared with care. the presentation is neat and the service impeccable. a special mention to david, very professional, pleasant, smiling and listening. but the boss is also very sympathetic and does not hesitate to dictate with customers without ever being invasive. I eat regularly at the potter and I have never been disappointed, except when david tells me that unfortunately there is no table available and that I would have done better to book but it is the ransom of a well-deserved success. Unfortunately lately the restaurants of avignon are deserted. There was the covid, then the war in Ukrainian with its corollary of depressed and anguish...and to finish the increase in the price of the fuels that forced the customers to review down their budget restau and their movements in general. So it's more than ever the time to support the dazzling restaurateurs and in this case the Potard... in these difficult and depressing times offer you a culinary parenthesis to the height at a not so high rate than that. Certainly we can read here and there in the comments that for a burger it is exaggerated...but let's be clear: it's totally justified! when you leave the table you leave the belly full with the feeling of having had it for its money and I don't speak only of quantity but of quality. here the burgers are real dishes we are not in a fast food) that more is, well presented. I personally take the burgers beef and stectary burgers regularly, or classics, but I was also very impressed by the gift cod with his pane, his garlic sauce and his fennel carpaccio...but it is not the choice that lacks... the beer of abbey floreffe is also perfect. And if all this is not enough to convince you that the terrace will delight you in the summer and winter the setting of the interior room is worthy of a romantic evening in love.Well, it's smart now I'm still alive... so strongly that I go back! I would just say, "Thank you to the potter to exist!" and above all, don't change anything!"
