"This looks the ideal restaurant, set in a classical building next to a beautiful park. But it only looks this way. First, when I booked the restaurant, I asked if they could accommodate vegetarians and got the slightly offended reply that obviously they would. When we arrive and requested this type of accommodation, all the waiter could do was to read to us the vegetarian items on the menu (none!) and those where items could be removed to become vegetarian (half-)dishes...Second, the regular dishes are just awfully plain: a half-melon with some slices of proscuito, a gaspacho soup with a full mozeralla ball floating in the middle, a tartar beefsteak with no decoration, and the winner of the evening, a half-open can of sardines that look like a poor joke [see picture]. All the dishes we ordered could have been produced by a first year student in a cook college. Actually, given that the staff we saw looked very young, it may have been the case that the "chef" was a first year student. Even the wine was mediocre, a 2015 Coteaux du Layon with hardly any flavour.Third, those very basic dishes are tremendously overpriced. The can of sardines was 18 euros (compared with the 8 euros it sells in a fancy grocery), which makes opening it one of the most well-paid jobs on the planet! The final bill was higher than those of well-recognised and worth-visiting bourgeois cuisine restaurants in downtown Paris. As eg Le Petit Marguery near Place d'Italie. There is no good reason to visit this restaurant: when sitting outside, the nearby road is noisy, there are enough tables to make the proximity a nuisance, and the prices are close to highway robbery."
