"On the outside the restaurant presents itself as a Cave á Vins and the walls are lined with wine bottles. So it was surprising for us to find out that there was only one red wine that we could get by the glass. Anyhow we decided to try the one available wine with a three course menu, and it was a rather good wine. Local French wine which inself was a little confusing since the interior, and the music, made us believe we had entered a Spanish restaurant. Two excellent entrées assured us we were on the right track: an Aumônière de filets de rouget sur lit de poireaux à la crème and a Brioche bouchon tiède crème de champignon. Both of them arranged rather playfully on the dish, but the taste and flavour assured us that it wasn't just silly food sculpturing but genuine good cooking. Our main courses, skewered beef and porc confit, were more mainstream in appearance but very savoury as well. Along with a delicious Baba Rhum and ice cream for dessert we found out that there was one dessert wine available by the glass as well. And luckily enough it was a good one, matching the desserts very well. We had hoped for a wine experience when we entered but got a food experience instead. When the two can be combined, this could be a very good restaurant."

The waiter was outstanding. The restaurant was full and he was alone. Still we had no complaints about the service or the food. Good kitchen. The locals eat here.

On the day visited this was one of the few restaurants open. Don't know why. Must have been one of those obscure French holiday days !!. We chose the a la Carte menu and wanting to be adventurous I chose something I had never ordered before. Didn't have a clue what was coming !! Bad choice ....it was offal. I couldn't eat it and left the plate full. The waiter was insistant that I choose something else so I went safely for a steak which was excellent. Surprising they did not charge me for the offal. Well recommended and bon appetit !!

Having been disappointed by many restaurants in the region lately, I was delighted by my lunch here. I had a tournedos de canard topped by fois gras, accompanied by real pommes frites fried in duck fat (which they highlight). This restaurant has a higher price point than most of its neighboring competitors, but is full of more affluent locals who know good cooking. Despite its modern atmosphere and design, the restaurant cooks in a way that reminds me of the old days (e.g. 1970 's) when excellent cuisine seemed much more prevalent in France.

Very pleasant helpful staff but the food varied from very good to awful! We went twice obviously the first experience was so good but on the second visit my husband’s entree dish was a disaster! Virtually inedible. It was obviously something the chef was experimenting with. It sounded OK cauliflower with mascarpone and crevettes but the actual dish was anything but OK. Such a pity because up until then our opinion of this restaurant was very positive! Most of the dishes being served to adjoining tables on both visits looked wonderful. Overall our opinion would be to say that this place is well worth a visit. It just proves that a review is dependent on what you experience on one visit!

Lovely welcome with choice of traditional, modern or outside seating options, and a complimentary cocktail. Chose a tomato mozzarella starter, served in beautiful long, boat shaped porcelain dishes. The huge Cote du Boeuf dish we chose (for two arrived with a flourish of whisky flamed at the table, focusing attention of all diners! There is no wine list here all the stock is on open shelves, the length of one wall, and you take your choice. (There are wines by the glass too. I would have liked to know more about the local red I chose, obviously a blend of grape varieties, but no information on the bottle; good though, and good value. Two starters, 2 mains (the most expensive choice , 2 glass...
