"this place was a brilliant little place to stop with all the good fresh and well boiled. Now it seems that the employees have lost their passion for providing good means of life. I was in the last weeks three things and every time I was disappointed to buy the quality of eating. the steak I had tonight was a terrible color before it got the grill, was crushed by the cook with all its power several times during cooking and was like leather to eat, with over half of it it is not possible. I'm really disappointed in three ways and wise this place goes as I like to get the family out, I won't try again, though, until they have a new cook or two on board, like the ones they have now, really not what they expect to find in France."

"A magnificent restaurant with authentic and tasty cuisine!!! Prepared with love by a top chef, where everything is made home, from sangria to the Norwegian omelette, to the piperade (like my mom and homemade fries cooked with beef grease, served with an absolutely delicious knife tartare, thanks to a memorable and delicious meat! Anyway, everything is to fall!!! With a welcome and service to the top, without forgetting a very good value for money! Here everything is gathered to spend an excellent evening!!! "Nous avons déjeuné en famille un samedi midi dans ce restaurant. Accueil simple et professionnel.Installés dans une petite cour intérieure couverte, très agréable en cette saison. Nous avons choisi le menu à 26 euros, hors boissons. Excellent rapport qualité prix. La soupe de campagne offerte pour commencer était une belle surprise, avec du confit de canard.En entrée, je vous recommande le foie gras maison : tranche épaisse et excellente, avec un confit d'oignon.En plat, le pavé de boeuf était superbe : copieux, tendre, excellente cuisson. La purée maison, un plaisir. Plateau de fromage dans le menu, par gourmandise car nous n'avions plus vraiment faim.Desserts maison simples et bons. En particulier le moelleux au chocolat et sa glace au beurre salé. En vin, lalande de pomerol, fin et à prix raisonnable, à 24 euros.Enfin, je tiens à souligner la gentillesse et le dynamisme de la serveuse. Pas d'attente. Le cuisinier est venu nous voir 2 fois. Un vrai pro, attentif à la qualité et humble. Merci à toute l'équipe du restaurant pour ce bon moment passé. C'est grâce aux avis d'autres clients sur TripAdvisor que nous avons choisi ce restaurant, que je recommande."

"For Sunday Lunch we went to Le Mekong Restaurant Vietnamien 13 Route de Bergerac in Saint Foy La Grande. We have driven past this restaurant for years. Its set back from the road, looks very unpre-tencious. Which is a pity. Last Sunday we both wanted to go out, to be together, enjoy each others company. But we wanted something to eat that was not French. The nearest Chinese Restaurants, you know the ones, stack it high, sell it cheap, where there are set dishes in heated racks, or you choose the ingredients for a chef to cook for you. Both are an hour away in Libourne or Bergerac. So we agreed we would try the Le Mekong Restaurant. It was delightfull. Once seated you choose your drinks and your Main Course. Then visit the cold counter, put your starters on a plate like Spring Rolls on a plate, give them to the chef who heats them. There are also cold starters, which you take as nibbles while waiting for the hot ones. After a suitable amount of time your choice of Main Course arrives piping hot! On completion you choose your sweet, this includes cheese as well as the puddings. The lunch with wine, a beer and vin petillant cost 45 euros. Although the food was different, we were pleasently supprised that we left without feeling bloated. This is one of our main hates about the UK. You are given at least 1 kg of processed chips with each meal. It ruins it."

"We were not sure what to expect with the restaurant name of Santa Fe in France.We were booked in for Sunday lunch as part of the local classic car club outing, so had little choice, but hey what an excellent experience.Our concerns about the ability to cater for 60 hungry classic car owners were soon put to rest.The Sunday lunch is a buffet, a limited but never the less entree bar had salads, salmon mousse, as well as cold meats. For those more adventurous snails in a butter garlic sauce and mussels in a very excellent cream sauce and of course soup.The buffet for the main course is truly extensive, Pork, Chicken, duck, fish, accompanied with a variety of vegetables. But very popular was the beef, carved as you wait, may be a little rare for some tastes, but really divine.Now I was going to say that the Santa Fe does not serve hamburgers, but I would be quite wrong, there sitting on the counter top advising that le hamburger could be cooked on demand, and I have to say a great faviurite with the kids.I did not venture into the sweets, too full up from the previous courses, nor did we buy wine as the president of the club is a vigneron, and supplied his own wine for club members.The restaurant was packed, notably by locals who know a good restaurant when they find it, so I would recommend booking.All in all a great meal in a friendly atmosphere. We will return."
