What a gem of a place. Found it by chance by strolling by. We had a fantastic brunch, so tasty, all local produce, very reasonable prices. Friendly and welcoming staff and service. Highly recommended

Husband and I came here for breakfast whilst on a weekend trip to Edinburgh and had a lovely breakfast. The staff are so friendly and welcomed our little dog too. Delicious, reasonably priced food and fab coffee. 10/10

I went to this restaurant with friends over the weekend and it was bustling, but the service was still excellent. The blonde American waitress (unfortunately, I don't recall her name) was fantastic and she made one of the best flat whites I have ever had! Unfortunately, we won't be able to visit again before we depart.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast twice. We attempted to come a third time on Wednesday but found that they were closed. Both times, I ordered the eggs and bacon on a muffin with hollandaise sauce, and they were delicious. The coffee and mochas were also excellent. It is a charming spot for a quick meal and a hot beverage. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.

My family and I have enjoyed breakfast at this restaurant on multiple occasions and each time we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The coffee is excellent and the menu has a great variety of cooked breakfast options. The perfectly poached eggs on a bed of wilted spinach with a light hollandaise sauce were absolutely delicious, making it unnecessary to have lunch afterwards. Ver carta

Tucked away from the main drag in Stockbridge this wee gem of a cafe is probably overlooked by many. Upon arrival it's clear that their main focus is breakfasts brunches. I went for coffee n cake. The loaf was baked onsite by one of the most cheerful, wholesome women ever! The coffee too was delicious. For such a tasty venture being in Stockbridge I was very happy with the price, excellent value for money, well worth an extra tip!! More pics and review on insta @coffeescakesandcafes

Went in just before 10 past two (50 minutes before advertised closing time on the door) to be met by someone sweeping the floor and directing us to one of the two tables for two which “were the only ones available because we’re closing soon” There was only one other customer with multiple larger tables free. “it’s coffee and cakes only because we shut in half an hour” We left immediately and went to Archipelago on Dundas Street where we were warmly welcomed and well fed and watered (coffeed) Leo, it’s a tough market out there for cafés, time to get some staff training and customer focus before you join the ranks of the also rans and non finishers. My wife and I went here yesterday. We thought it was a nice little cafe. Service was good and so was the food. My wife got a white hot chocolate which was quite unique because had white chocolate on a stick. It tasted pretty good. I got the homemade chai which was also quite different because it was milky and had a pot of honey on the side. I enjoyed it. For food my wife got poached eggs on breakfast muffins which she very tasty. Eggs were cooked were cooked spot on. However, my wife thought bacon was a little over cooked. I was greedy and got the banana bread with berries and mascarpone and I got the almond bostock special. I enjoyed both. Nice flavours and a bit different. The service was... Ver carta
