"The spot is great, facing the Seine, kitchen with fireplace... Very nice place... nothing to say about the Restaurant... But WARNING, however, not to be blocked if like me, your car is more than 1.80m high because after 22h the railroad barrier guard ignores you and tells you I can't do anything and that it leaves. Even when they tell him we're stuck! And we don't live Vernon!"

Nice place for a great meal. The fireplace allows to maintain a cocooning atmosphere. To come back this summer to enjoy the terrace on the Seine.

Very nice discovery. The products are fresh and very well cooked. I ate a grilled dorade with vegetables a real treat. The setting with the central grill is ideal for the winter evenings.

Taste the marrow bone and the cooked bar at the chimney the normand apple-based gutter, caramel in sheeted paste is top. Quick and efficient service. Update of December 2023: on the winter map try the thyme lamb mouse. The velvety season is in potimarron and cream, delicious.

"Lovely Normandy restaurant, fairly close to my sisters home and about 20 minutes from Giverny. The Restaurant Gabriel looks “French” from the outside but more Scandinavian modern in the inside with one large room with 60’s wood and Formica tables. Though the room is large it is quite and somehow manages to feel intimate with 60-70s music playing softly in the background. The service was impeccable and the presentation very pleasing to the eye. They promote the products of the region through local producers so everything is fresh. We were each served a delicious cold green pea soup served in a parfait glass. I ordered one of their Menu options, they have several along with a few Ala Cart options. My starter was a shrimp cocktail, again presented beautifully and very tasty. My pork dish was divine and presented on a bed of an incredible chopped mushroom dish. My menu included the appropriate wine accompaniment, which was the only disappointment of the evening – light not full bodied. My sister ordered the filet mignon, again the presentation was lovely however she found the meat touch (she thought it fresh beef rather than aged). Her starter was an absolutely fantastic Foie gras. My brother-in-law’s selection was the steak tartare which he said he would order again. Another lovely evening in Normandy. Price range 30E to 75E including wine."
