We have eaten here many times. Food consistently very good. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Always busy and need to book to ensure you have a table. Recommend.

They have very good authentic french food and very good fresh coffee! Went here while on holiday to Mareuil and went here almost once a day due to their fresh great coffee!

Restaurant looks simple in a little village but the traditional French food is all fresh, homemade, and really good quality and big portions. Just what you want if you're in France!

Wonderful food all freshly cooked by Isobel the chef. Excellent value set menu proven popular by many locals frequenting Les Promenades for lunch. Can't recommend it enough. You must book to ensure a table . enjoy

We visited this restaurant with our French conversation group in January and decided to return with some friends. On both occasions the restaurant was busy, so you definitely need to book. Although we had the lunch time meal, there was at least choices of...starters mains. I lost count of the number of dessert available. Wine was included in the price

We have visited this fabulous little bar/restaurant many times now either for drinks or meals. It's been excellent every time. The staff a wonderful and the food excellent. The 13.50 euro three course meal with wine is seriously good value and great quality. Fabulous atmosphere with a real buzz about the place. Can't wait to go there again even if just for a coffee.

The food here varied from really good to not so good. The carbonara was fantastic, the chips were very good too as was the omelette. However the roast chicken leg from the set menu seemed as though it had been out of the oven some...time, and the courgette gratin was dire! It looked nothing like the delicious fresh gratin photos on these reviews! Service was ok, not as friendly as some but not unpleasant either. Given the good quality of some of the food I’d be inclined to chalk the chicken and gratin up to a bad day, which is disappointing, but I’d probably give it another shot if in the area.

We have been at Les Promenades several times during our stays in Dordogne and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is run by a very professional and experienced lady chef. Menus change frequently but always rely on fresh products. At c. 14 € the Menu du jour with two options for starters, main course and dessert is excellent value but there are also more expensive menus and a la carte options. In summer give preference to tables outside the restaurant to enjoy tree shade. Regardless of the period in the year booking is preferable as the place has become increasingly popular with local people and tourists.

New Year's Eve, we weren't sure we'd find anything open - and we decided to lunch here after seeing the "open" sign. What a delightful surprise. Mareuil is a tiny ville, but this restaurant was reasonable and the food was very good. There was a large-ish party of French folks (a family) and table of four Brits. The restaurant is one side and the bar is the other (of two sides). My husband had the entrecot, fries and a salad, and i had the duck, potatoes and salad - and we shared a small split of red wine.
