"originally very surprised that the lights were so bright that it ruined any chance of a beautiful atmosphere in a beautiful building. After we had set ourselves, we waited almost minutes before the waiter wanted to take our drinks. I'm not sure what he had to check or why he had to check before we ordered, because it was very quiet. he disappeared and a waitress appeared shortly after and took our job. our appetizers appeared immediately. my squid was treated in what can only be described as flour and water paste that was fried. it was very bland. my friend had the scallops that were good. the main thing was not great. my crispy halibut was tiny and the chips were really terrible. think about soggy palid school dinner chips. the beingeschirr of chard was beautiful, but overall the meal was bad. the cod curry of my friend with rice looked like a teller dog sick and had a massive bone in him, which was unexpected and she would not have chosen it if she had known it so. I've been closing with her. it tasted okay, but looked grim. the service was terrible with taking off the cat who brought the drinks that was very efficient. but he did not take the drinks orders, so we sat drinking water for half time. it's such a shame because it could be really good. sort out the lighting. they lose the gray pink walls and develop a certain content together with the waiting staff. they were all friendly, but not very good at selling food and drinks. on the plus side the fish was very fresh and it is very cheap."

Great restaurant in converted church. Great menu . Mainly fish but steak or schnitzel on menu. Lovely staff. Nice atmosphere with a fire in the bar where we ate.

I haven’t hosted a review for a long time, so this will be the first of a number from recent trips north. Littles proved to be a highlight of the most recent trip good food, friendly service, lovely building, well priced.

creative, fine, perfectly cooked and exquisitely presented fish and sea fruit flour as well as the best dessert in Scotland: warm chocolate brown with salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. very attentive and helpful service in a tastefully converted church. Ver carta

We hadn't read any reviews or had any recommendations for this restaurant. We picked it because it was close to where we were staying. So glad we did. The service was friendly and efficient. We took our time and asked that there would be a...good period of time between courses. This request was fully met. We had a selection of Tapas dishes before we ordered the starter. They were amazing; as was the rest of the meal. We will be back.

Dec Enjoyed the lofty elegance of the old church, which is warm, bright, tasteful and welcoming. Service was professional, communicative and courteous. Deep fried squid rings starter was perfectly cooked to the nearest second; faultless. Monkfish and prawn skewers had been precisely prepared...by someone who clearly knows the perils of careless monkfish preparation. The menu was varied and inviting; stomachs are not big enough to try all we would have liked. Wine prices reasonable and modest, with no greedy mark-ups. Easy parking, town centre. Will we be going again? Definitely.

Little's restaurant is a diamond in the rough. We went here for dinner as it was across the river from where we were staying. We had langoustines for starter, fish and chips for the main (my partner had filet of cod and daughter, a pizza)....All were amazing and the expertise with fish dishes definitely comes through. I had the Chocolate brownie corn-dog with vanilla ice-cream and local strawberries for dessert this was beyond amazing, absolutely incredible and I would thoroughly recommend trying it when you go. The restaurant is based in an old church and this adds to the atmosphere. It was busy when we went yet the staff were attentive and friendly. This restaurant is well work a visit if... Ver carta

this is our second visit in blairgowrie and visit in littles. if they enjoy fish, the place is. we started with the tinted rings and olive-epper, then he had white-ebait charges of them and delicious I chose cod dishes... from the tapas menu, which were superb, light and crisp and very good, we had both turbot to follow on a bed of picking and serving him, it was a game we were pretty nasty and he had a pudding and I had the beeboard, he didn't let me taste his pudding and I can't remember what it was, but the bees were an excellent choice with home made heep cake and chutney plus some apple slices and rob. I had a very tasty pinot grigio, and he had a few soft beers. the whole meal was nice...

After reading other reviews and realising this is the only restaurant in Blairgowrie we were looking forward to our visit. The exterior is fantastic and what a venue for a restaurant. However the interior is very disappointing firstly the lighting is glaring and way too...bright and does nothing to encourage an intimate evening! The colour of the walls is also baby pink a very strange choice and really does not work. We were told only limited items available on the blackboard, starter of crab rarebit was good. However the fish and chips which one would hope would almost be a signature dish of a reputable fish restaurant was very disappointing the haddock was OK but it was overcooked and the...

"We visited to see the Beatrix Potter Exhibition with family who were visiting and spent a lovely hour going around the exhibition, however our nice time was rudely interrupted by the elderly lady working in the cafe with dyed black curly hair. We have one child with serious allergies, so instead of one child feeling left out and risking cross exposure, we packed safe snacks for all the kids going anywhere with allergies is an absolute nightmare, so we always do this. Most places are trained and appreciative of how hard it is to eat out with allergens and happy to make reasonable adjustments for this. All four adults ate from the cafe. When part of our order was delivered, we were told “this isn’t a picnic area, you can’t eat your own food, you wouldn’t take food in to McDonald’s” (whilst looking at the 2 year old eating her snacks) when I responded yes I actually would, we have a child with allergies, she asked if it was serious allergies to which I said yes and she scoffed and left, no apology, nothing. I must add that whether the children would be eating or not, they would still have to sit at the table and take up the same amount of space. Would the children also be prevented from sitting because they didn’t buy from the cafe? Still waiting on my food order twenty minutes later and having already finished my coffee and frustrated at the wait, I asked for a refund as we now felt hurried to leave because of how upset she was at the children eating snacks at the table without purchasing them in their cafe. I got the refund for my missing meal and we left without going to the shop or seeing the other art, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent just shy of £100 in the place and to be spoken to like that was horrible. The elderly employee with dyed black hair really needs some training on customer service and manners. The way she looked at us as we left was awful, we will not be returning. This place is not welcoming of children or those with allergies I dread to think how they would react to someone who is tube fed, probably told to eat outside just avoid."
