"This was a big to do item on our trip from Chicago to England. We stopped by on our way from London to the Cotswold for our anniversary. It was only the bar menu when we arrived but we waited through a downpour and enjoyed amazing food. It was so incredible that we drove and hour and a half back the next day to give dinner a try and we were not disappointed. Whatever brownie was being served that weekend (10/13) was the best I’ve ever had and I’m truly gonna be dreaming of it forever. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking"

"Came in for lunch, looked at the menu as given to us and not informed that numerous things were missing. When ordering we was told there was no lobster for the prawn and lobster cocktail but we still ordered it. I ordered the Henry burger that is a 25.00 burger so you expect something decent. The burgers were dry and over cooked, short rib burgers should be bubbling with juices but no,chicken was dryish and chewy, no gammon and the fried egg was way overcooked. I get that it's a big feat making something like this but everything tasted precooked and thrown on the grill to bring up to a higher temperature. Items were definitely left in a merry chef or some kind of hot hold. I personally would not recommend this burger but the others look quite nice and a bit easier to make. I wasn't going to quibble as it is what it is and the staff seemed sufficient for the job. Very hit and miss here as my brother in law had a great meal last week but as an ex chef maybe my standards are a little bit higher... Who knows !"

"So, I popped in for a quick pint on a Thursday night on my way somewhere. Locals were crowding the entrance having fags which always makes an impression. Made my way to the bar and served straight away Just green king ipa available at best is only ever ok. This was ok. Locals inside were colourful , with random dog wondering about. One local announced he was leaving for 15 minutes. Strange seating arrangement with chairs just around the outside, which gave it a residential home feeling."

"I booked way ahead to celebrate our 18 year anniversary. I told them I needed a gluten free diet. The day before we were due to dine I received a call saying they had had a meeting with environmental health and they were no longer allowed to call their food gluten free, it was now low gluten due to the risk of cross contamination in their small kitchen. Having eaten at the Chefs Table there twice before I said I was happy and had never been poorly after previous visits. So the next day we went for our celebration meal only what I didn’t realise was that when they give you gluten free they take out everything not just the gluten. My bread came with oil, my husband had beautiful butters. When my husband had octopus I got a pepper and when he had turbot I got a mushroom. I’M NOT A VEGAN!!!!! I wasn’t happy at all. The waiter said he was sorry I was disappointed and that next time they would try to accommodate a variation of the menu for me. Even when the dessert came the waiter proudly told my mind was “veganised”. I could have cried. And as for the wine flight, what a waste of money! The wine was slopped in, one of us would get 1cm of wine, the other one would get 3 cm. The sommelier seemed to think that was pretty amusing. We should have just bought 2 bottles of wine. It was ridiculous. There was nothing about the evening that would make me want to go back. This was over £650 for two of us. It should have been phenomenal. It’s my last visit to Paris House."
