Super restaurant avec un bon rapport qualité prix! Assiettes bien copieuses et les saveurs nous font voyager, tout ça sous une ambiance old school, musique et clip des années 90. Le service et l'accueil parfait, je conseil vivement.

Après 1h30 d'attente, et un accueil désagréable, on apprend qu'ils n'acceptent pas les tickets restaurant le soir, ce qui est en soit illégal, et notons que le plat est à 15€ ... Cependant le repas était de qualité et la quantité était présente!

Super adresse découverte dernièrement ! Les plats sont délicieux, originaux et archiiiiii copieux ! On en a pour son argent ! Petit bémol, l'endroit est assez petit et l'attente un peu longue mais ça vaut vraiment le coup ! On a tous kiffé et on recommande à fond !

Soul Food not really, more like Jamaican food with a twist. We came in and were seated promptly and given our menus. The menu has like 10 plates and an handful of starters, sides and desserts, so a smaller menu. The food was decent, not oh my goodness good. We had the chicken plate and we added on the Mac and Cheese both were ok. Maybe I’m a soul food snob, but it was missing that kick that you get from good soul food.

Quel accueil !!! Je suis la 1ère et demande à être placée et garder 4 autres places, mais rien la serveuse ne veut pas et au final plus de place et cette même serveuse se met à nous demander ce qu'on faisait à attendre?? Le grand Mr du fond nous a fait un grand semblant de nous trouver une solution alors que pas du tout! C'était une expérience très humiliante!!! Revoyez votre politique d'accueil parce que là c'est grave!

I was so happy when I found a “soul food” place in Paris, I made sure it was my first stop! The menu is VERY limited, and there were hardly any “soul food” options. The macaroni and cheese.., well I liked the top part, but the bottom had a strong cheese that tasted like funky feet. The chicken was well fried and very tasty! The fish, waffles, and mashed sweet potatoes were average at best. I probably wouldn’t make a second trip though

Petit restaurant très sympathique et décomplexé avec un style afro sans égal qui fait voyager et remonter le temps (diffusion de clips des années 2000). Les menus sont sympas et (très) généreux. Les fanatiques de poulets fris ne seront pas déçus : les épices mélangés à la friture donnent au poulet un gout... explosif!!! Je n'ai pas eu la chance de commander un dessert car le plat était très copieux. Donc j'y retournerai à coup sur!!!! P.S : cherchez l'indication concernant la façon de manger le poulet : elle est très originale...

My review is a year old as I actually visited the restaurant September 2018. I went with my wife and another friend and we all enjoyed the food. Since I try out all chicken and waffle meals in every restaurant that serves it, I course ordered it here. The chicken was very tasty and the best I had eaten in all of Europe (eaten in Amsterdam, London, Rome, Barcelona, Naples, Nice and even in Cairo. The waffles were OK, just a little dry but eatable. Not sure if they were cooked too long, but the syrup didn't wake them up enough to match the excellent taste of the chicken. Don't recall what my wife and friend ate, but they loved their meals. For starters, I don’t know why I came to France and wanted to eat soul food... familiarity I guess, but I digress. The chicken and sweet potatoes were too spicy. The chicken was well fried, but the coating had thyme, parsley, and French inspired seasonings. The sweet potatoes mash was full of fibers it should’ve been whipped to remove then) and seasoned with lime and coconut milk. That’s not soul food. It should’ve been seasoned with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown/white sugar, clove, and perhaps a splash of lemon. The red beans and rice had bbq sauce in them...again not soul food. The seasoning on the French fries was called Cajun seasoning. It was really good... not spicy although it should’ve bee...
