"Food, service and location this place has it all and if your really lucky to get a sunny balcony table the best spot in Plymouth. Karen and the team work incredibly hard behind and in front of the scenes to give an amazing Spanish experience. From the jugs of refreshing cocktails to the plated tapas. I can't speak highly enough when we visited with the whole family. Well done everyone at Maritimos see you all again soon ."

Fantastic views and a lovely setting for tapas. Probably better on a sunny day but enjoyed by all inside protected from the wind. Great vegan options.

Had an enjoyable meal but thought expensive for what got. Food was good and hit. Also we were by window which seemed to allow in draughts. Staff very friendly. Ver carta

So I've edited my last review based on my revent last 2 visits in May and June 24. They have defo upped their game with the services, and the food is better. We will continue to visit this place, providing the service stays as good. Thank you for listening!!

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
