"During our staycation at a nearby hotel, we decided to dine at this restaurant for the first time in over a year, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was all freshly cooked and piping hot. The staff and owner were very welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes such as Cheesy garlic mushrooms, Steak and ale pie with chips, Curried chicken with rice and chips, Kids chicken nuggets with chips, Kids lasagna with chips, and Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. The ice cream was exceptionally creamy and delicious. Despite not taking any photos due to being too engrossed in the meal, we thoroughly enjoyed the old-fashioned pub ambience and would definitely recommend it. The food arrived promptly and was all incredibly tasty."

"What an absolute amazing pub a must visit for food and drink, we drove down from staying at the forest pine golf resort late in the evening looking for a local pub meal as he was quiet he had turned the kitchen off he had no problem lightning up the kitchen to cook us up a wonderful chicken tikka for two washed down with a nice cold cider in a lovely atmosphere and to be honest at a great price and his dog is amazing. A must visit. Food: 5"

"Our first visit to the Jolly Miller former favourite meal Sunday Lunch. An unusual experience (for us) of a carver which the staff then plate up for you while you sit at the table. I'm sure we will get used to us. We were very happy with the meal, choice of two meats, 3 veg, roast and mashed potatoes and of course the Yorkshire pud. There were other options than the Sunday roast too. Personally I prefer the roast potatoes firmer and my Yorkshires less well done, but that is a very small downside to what was a very good Sunday lunch. We will definitely be back again. Quick and efficient service too."

"Ordered veg quorn curry and what came was 8 quorn nuggets on top of curry sauce, was nothing curry about that and very expensive with what you got, a 10 year old could have done better. "Visited last night me and the missus, missus had lamb which was tough to chew, told the waiter and he started a full on argument with me saying that was our opinion! I've worked in home cooked Indian restaurants in Sheffield and cook authentic curry for family and friends regularly but this waiter thought I was just a casual Indian eater, never ever have I had an argument in a restaurant with anyone I just expected him to take it away apologise and tell us to come back again and they'd make sure it would be better next time but no not even a sorry totally the opposite he was shouting at both me and the missus as though we was wrong for making a complaint! I tried to explain the flavours were ok just the lamb was tough that is all. I hate to write a negative review on any business but I certainly have no choice on this occasion. Also the 2 Asian ladies working there did and said nothing and allowed this to happen I would rather starve than step foot anywhere near this place again! Good luck if you go here and make a complaint I'm still in shock writing this the day after!!!"
