Great pizza a decent price for lunch. Friendly service. We’ll have to come back for dinner.

They don’t use salt AT ALL. The pizza dough didn’t have any salt so it was like eating flour dough without flavor. The pasta where really nada as well. Terrible place

This is an excellent restaurant. I always feel relaxed here and enjoy the atmosphere. The service is polite and friendly and the food is very tasty and authentic Italian. Ver carta

I ordered the salmon and hubby had the meatballs both were delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of a few things on the menu. The pudding was not added to the bill. The table was very sticky and I felt it needed a good clean. A nice evening but we won't rush back.

I’m actually ashamed at myself for having to put 1 star. There wasn’t an option to do “0” stars unfortunately. Drinks took 20 minutes Food took over an hour The very small restaurant was only half full when we ordered The margarita tasted like nail polish remover The chips were stale First and last time visiting this awful place.

Very poor service and the quality for food is very bad Gone down hill massively [ants every where None of the old staff are there theres one lady that was on the restaurant floor rellay lovely to talk to and was always bubbley and delt with things very calmly I think her name was kirsty can't believe she left such a shame the chelf leo left as well Definitely will not be going back and will be spreading the word Ver carta

Food was very nice only 4 people in the restaurant on a Saturday night when we arrived very quite no one arrived while we were there. There wasn't a atmosphere as the place was nearly empty. 2 staff front of house took drinks order then came back for food order food came out quick but once we got our mains that's the last we saw of the staff they stood at the bar we was never asked if everything was OK or if we wanted any more drinks so the service wasn't very good

We took the family here to celebrate a birthday, having heard great things about the food, plus I like an Italian meal so it was a natural choice. Mattoni's is very local to us too and we like to support local business where we can. The initial service was great, and they accommodated a change of time at short notice as we were running a little late. We found the food to be well presented and to a good standard, with plenty of taste shining through. At the end of the meal most of the waiting staff seemed to vanish into thin air and the standard of service and attention evaporated with them. We hadn 't been here for many years and have been reluctant to try it more recently since it changed hands, and we 'd heard some devious reviews. However, we decided to try it for an anniversary meal, close to home. Pleased we didn 't listen to the reviews. The food was lovely, decent portions and very tasty. The service was excellent. We hate to be rushed, so when we finished our starter (a large antipasti sharing platter! we needed a bit of a breather and so asked for some time. We were listened to and given a decent break between courses. Everything we asked for was provided promptly and staff were all very friendly.
