"The team at Medlar were incredible last night, they helped make my friends birthday celebration so special. Any issues were dealt with right away and they were so incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is outstanding, word to the wise -visit Medlar on an empty stomach because the portions are big!! Wine list is incredible and the Sommelier was great and understood what we wanted perfectly. I can’t wait to visit again."

Very good French influenced restaurant. Good menu. The grouse was undercooked on this occasion. The Celeriac soup was very good. My wife would have preferred the piece of raw tuna, rather than a chopped tuna salad.

The Quail main, tuna starter and chocolate mousse dessert were particular highlights as well as the fabulous wine list (we opted for the Portuguese Douro red). A wonderful meal with perfect attentive but not invasive service. Thank you
