"Came here for a breakfast. It was genuinely the worst breakfast we have ever had, everything was deep fried. The food is the cheapest money can buy, sausages were like mush and tasted awful, mushrooms were dried up and crispy (over microwaved the half a tinned tomato was quite nice though. Both eggs were fried solid! The toast was buttered with the cheapest of cheap margarine which tasted awful. The sauce bottles and condiments were all filthy as were the cups. The tea had all floating bits in it which looked like the bottom of a kettle (which we didn’t see till the end of the drink! not a place we would ever go again. We would have passed these comments to the staff but nobody came near. None of the staff wear hairnets either so just to top it off there was a hair in my meal!! Avoid!!!"

The service at this restaurant was not good. I waited 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and water, even though it was busy. Don't go here if you don't want to be dying of thirst.

I created an account specifically to write a review for this cafe. The portions are very small, the food is mediocre, and the service is lacking. The only enjoyable part was when I left.

Lovely staff. Great variety of hot food if you're looking for lunch. Lovely cakes if you just want something light or to treat yourself, all at a very reasonable price. Nice surroundings.

This has now reopened as the Hummingbird Cafe. Stayed at the premier inn and came here for breakfast great value for money, friendly and efficient service and good quality breakfast. Much better than Wetherspoons where we’d gone the day before. Ver carta

Popped in to get some take out lunch. Nice selection of paninis which were made fresh and delicious. Simple ham rolls for the kids worked well for our 3 year olds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Saw some apple pie that I wanted but didn't because I was taking away.

Order was taken with no issue. Had to ask for milk for the tea. Ordered an omlette with salad for myself and a sandwich for my mom. Waited 25 minutes omlette was cold and they had not made the sandwich. Asked for mayonnaise twice and never got it. Will never waste time or money going in there again. Ver carta

I have never written a review but today’s visit was horrendous. We had to wait sooooo long for our breakfast today. And when the food arrived they forgot our toast. We had a few bites and just left. Would not recommend this place at all. There is a lot more better places to eat in the centre! So many angry customers this morning. I heard a staff member tell the customer to shut up and wait. Horrific. Avoid at all costs!

2nd March 2023: This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy anything from a cup of tea to a full cooked lunch. They offer a specials menu with delicious homemade dishes such as cauliflower cheese and lasagne that vary regularly. The restaurant is conveniently located just 500 yards from the city center entrance and is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. The staff are all friendly and accommodating, always willing to meet any customer's needs. I cannot recommend this place enough. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars.

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
