Wanting to book in the short term, we had twice bad luck, but in the Menta Cucina we were told we could try good luck. Since it was also 20:30, we were glad to be able to leave the area around the chefs after we had moved there infall-free through enormous crowds of people, we hoped that the first former guests would go again. The parking search in Unterbilk was difficult, but then improvising we set ourselves in the second row without obstructing someone and found our car later unharmed without any love letters under the windshield wiper. The restaurant looks like a former shop, large windows towards the street, and in summer there are also a few tables on the sidewalk, as well as a courtyard. The interior is quite simple, a vault in which the padrone prepared straight bowls with olive oil and balsamico and behind it the access to the kitchen, in the front area approx. 10 tables in different sizes and then a side room with another 16 seats. We were kindly greeted and asked to wait, as soon something would be free. No 5 minutes later we were sitting at a very small table in the side room, but something was cramped when eating, as it was placed directly on the wall. You have to get used to the interior, despite some Italian accessories lack the cosiness, the light is too bright, for example, candles on the tables are missing. Unfortunately, it was also quite loud, as pre-critics have already performed. For example, the vacuum cleaner that stood at the wardrobe was not fit in the picture, probably there is no other room in the enrichment of the restaurant. The toilets also very economical, quite old, but clean. There is a small drink card and a small menu with 12 pizzas, some pasta dishes and appetizers, with meat dishes of hotchucke with lenses or stewed beef with couscous. In general, some offered foods were combinations of Italian and Arabic cuisine. In addition, some additional dishes were offered on wall panels. Unfortunately, it turned out that both dishes that I had gone out of were out, which could also speak for the local, and others would then froze. So we ordered as an appetizer Rucola with pear, Parmigiano 6,50 € and Vitello Tonnato from the table 9,00 € and as main food spaghetti with limonene oil river cancers 8,00 € and from the table Saltimbocca from the table 14,50 €. Half a litre of water is available for €2.50 and half a litre of Vino della Casa for €8.50, which came a bit too sweet for our taste. In the meantime there was the already mentioned olive oil with a bread basket with two kinds of bread. Both appetizers were excellent, a large plate of veal, not drowned under a tuna sauce as often experienced, garnished with cherry tomatoes a few capers and some rocket, interesting the combination of the other appetizers very thin cut pear slices and rocket on a balsamico oil honeydressing with thin parmesan slices a round flavor composition. After a pleasant waiting period, the main foods, the spaghetti with the river crabs on a picnic slightly sharp sauce with dried tomatoes, the Saltimbocca as they can not be better, very thin, fresh sage and a slice of ham, not folded in but well roasted, the fryed fond with butter and wine, a joy to look at, tasted prettily with roses, as a leaflet half. At the end we had a Torroncino 4 € and 2 Espresso 1,80 €, according to our own testimonials with the best in Düsseldorf, which did not turn out to be an exaggeration. The young Sevice staff were present all the time, very friendly and sympathetic. Conclusion: A very good meal that is not to be expected in the ambience, we would live in Düsseldorf without further delay one of our tribals. Even when we were sitting, each table was immediately occupied by new guests between 20 and 30. I'm sorry not to be able to forgive more than 2 stars for the ambience and that the place is slipping off something, but a recommendation is definitely it. A hint yet, the website of the restaurant is amusing and lovingly chewed I decided to evaluate here the overall impression (not the individual areas according to the scheme of a kitchen trip. This review background is solved by a restaurant classification. This can apply to both a star place and a pizzeria or a snack. I think that's fair, every restaurant category will be fair, and I'd find it nice if other friends would join it and get this through for the overall impression here. Loretto street is known for its friendly high quality establishments. Menta is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to and is a dismal excuse for a Loretto Street eatery. Rude service matched with low quality produce. Other Italian eateries are safer options....Avoid at all costs!

My colleagues and I were looking for something a bit lighter than the German food we had been having the last couple of days. We found this restaurant by chance while walking from our hotel to the town center. While they did not have a...menu in English, the staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining which dishes they had. I had A very good spinach and Gorgonzola ravioli which was very reasonably priced at my colleague and I even ordered a second one to share! We were all very happy with our food and the service.
