"This hotel was excellent because: 1. Lovely room well appointed and with tea/coffee facilities 2. Very comfortable beds. 3. Parking for the car on site at 8 euros per day. The GPS had no issues finding the hotel either ! 3. For us, a good...location. It is about 20 minutes from the old town but we like a bit of a walk. It means parking and access are not an issue. 4. Very friendly and helpful staff. 5. Reasonable price of 225 euro for 2 nites including breakfast but not parking or local taxes . The only issue was the wi fi. It regularly dropped out for us which was very frustrating. Reception did check with IT but they said that there should be no issue."

The service was very slow, and the food wasn't anything special. The Schnitzl we ordered was good, but the potatos aside were terrible. I wouldn't recomment on this restaurant. Ver carta

When the hotel front desk staff tell you to look at eating in town, you know there must be an issue. Menu very, very limited and chef will not deviate from the menu like other Mercure chefs do. Sorry, but for price paid to meal quality, walk down the road to Restaurant Beccofino where you will get good food for a great price.

One evening we could’t find a spare place for dinner in the plenty of city restaurants, so we were forced to eat in the hotel’s restaurant. It was not so bad experience. Food and wine were as good as in city, prices are about the same, only ambient was not so appealing and just one waiter was serving (I was surpised that so many hotel guests are dinning at the hotel). Ver carta

We happened to be in Salzburg on a religious holiday and almost all stores and restaurants were closed. Luckily the restaurant in our hotel was open and we went there for dinner. I had venison with brown gravy, red cabbage and noodles and my wife had a chicken Caesar salad. There was a noisy tour group in the dining room but we were able to sit in a corner away from them. The service and food was very good.
