"They have a free campsite here which is brilliant. Good flat pitches and a toilet with shower that you can use. We had a meal in the pub which for the most part was ok but one of the meals was not very good, nuked new potatoes which were quite inedible and Hunters Chicken which was just a butterflied chicken breast smothered in bottled barbecue sauce with a strange cheese topping! To be fair the staff were very helpful and understanding and took the price of this meal off the bill. It was probably just a one-off as they seemed to be having staffing issues. It is a quaint pub with a good atmosphere."

"I visited this farm shop in the summer of 2022 and returned during our camping trip in late August 2023. The café area offers a variety of seating options both indoors and on a lovely enclosed terrace. During our two visits in 2023, we enjoyed coffee and cake one time and breakfast on our departure day the next. The coffee was excellent and served in charming blue cups. My son indulged in a tempting shake while my wife opted for a mocha, all of which were delightful. The cakes were a hit as well. On our last visit, I ordered the mid-sized vegetarian breakfast, which was exceptional. Many places struggle with the quality of veggie sausages, but these were fantastic. It made for a great send-off on our journey home. Both times, the young ladies serving were wonderful—helpful and friendly, and they happily changed my egg from fried to scrambled. Having worked in a busy coffee shop before, I understand how challenging it can be, so I truly appreciate having a positive experience like this. We also made some essential purchases and bought gifts in the shop, which was quite convenient. The restroom was clean and tidy, always a good indication of a well-maintained establishment. We will definitely plan to visit again on our next trip to North Cornwall."

"Blink and you may miss it. But you definitely don't want to! A small shop on a little strip with a limited amount of parking outside. There were people queued outside 10 mins before opening. The shop uses a clever system that allows for pre-ordered food, a couple of touch screens with card payments and the traditional order at the counter. The front counter is organised into sections for efficiency, and they are a well oiled machine. The bit you are probably waiting for.... The food. We ordered chicken pieces (x8), chips and a homemade curry sauce. Steak pie, chips and curry sauce. The chicken was excellent, the pie was exactly what you would want, and the chips were as good as I have ever had. They say you can judge a chip shop by their fish and chips. Although I didn't try the fish this time, I would be confident it was very good and will no doubt try that next time. The curry sauce was fantastic. Easily one of the best I have had. You can tell it's homemade. Although this chip shop is at least 20 mins from my home, it has now become the only place I would buy from. In short, wonderful food, fast turnaround, and pleasant staff who are extremely efficient. Oh, almost forgot. Reasonably priced too! 5 stars. "We stopped in for lunch and I had the pie couldn’t fault it and it was filled to the brim with the tastiest beef. My husband had the soup and sandwich and was not disappointed. I managed to have dessert and on their recommendation, I had the chocolate delice and it was incredible and the nicest dessert I’ve ever had the homemade stout I’ve cream made the dish. The food was so good that we went back again on our second visit, I had the croque Monsieur and my husband the beef brisket open sandwich. Again, the quality and taste was fantastic. These guys do not skimp on portions! My husband also loved their stout. We were in Tintagel for a week and these two lunches were by far the best. The restaurant is very pretty, the food incredible, friendly staff and I feel the price is very fair for the high quality of food. We will 100% go back next time we are in the area."

"We visited the Masons Arms with family for a simple evening meal on Thursday 17th Aug 2023. Despite the recent issue with the kitchen fire they were able to accommodate the booking of 9 and provided a great service. The pizzas are really nice and the other food options are also good and tasty. Some recent negative reviews simply can’t be accepting of them still trying to provide a food service while dealing with the kitchen issue they have at present. The person serving forgot to add a round of drinks to our bill at the end of the meal so I went up and paid for them before leaving and the nice woman behind the bar seemed shocked at the honesty. It’s all down to the service you gave and the efforts you are all making to be able to continue to make customers happy and serve food.
