"Five of us popped in here for a cream tea today, certainly not the best I've had. Fairly sure the fruit scones are from Costco but the thing I have an issue with the most is that they are still serving Jam and cream in sealed individual SINGLE USE PLASTIC POTS. This seams so unnecessary when they could so easily pop a spoon of each accompaniment in ceramic washable and reusable pots. Come on Meynell Langley, think a little of the environment, you are a garden centre after all...ditch single use and go reusable!"

Great food at a better than reasonable price. Noted for it's many varieties of poinsettia, stunning, red, pink, lime and 1500 or so to pick from.

Nice lunch stop whilst in the area. Expect to pay ariund £15-18 for two people. Stopped for some quiche and also a panini with tea for two. It was quaint and well coordinated. Ver carta

Out of the way unique spot, popular for a quiet relaxed meal. A large conservatory is spacious and decked with flowers most of the year. Simple fare but tasty and well presented.

Service was friendly and ok, but the table surface was sticky all over which post-covid is not good. Food quality was ok. Would possibly return if in the area but not make a special visit. Garden centre small and unimpressive.

Three of us called today whilst out on a cycle ride and we all felt the Tea Rooms were very well managed and Covid safe. Plenty of hand sanitizer and a safe layout of tables. And the most important bit nice coffee and cakes. Thanks to all the team. Ver carta

As a family we came here for a lunch as we have many many times. We had 3x ploughman’s and a fish platter. The amount of cheese on the ploughman’s was so big that it produced a massive smile on the faces of myself my son. All four of us were highly satisfied with our meals and had cake’s afterwards. Great garden centre for plants and flowers too. The staff are all so pleasant and welcoming, place is clean Tidy.

"we enjoyed another very pleasant dinner at the Dog’ in pentrich recently. it is a very civilized but relaxed escaping area, and the type of place where people are miles for, for the culinary experience traveling and with good ground. eating is good. the dining room is spacious, contemporary and beautifully furnished with a relaxed ambiente. also the adjacent bar area is very cozy and cozy. we were warmly welcomed and immediately shown on our table. the service was attentive and pleasant, without being overlaid or intrusive. our meals were very pleasant and we enjoyed the selection of things we had (start, head and dessert). However, it seemed to be some unconsistencies with a portion size. with the appetizers the leek and the potato portion was very small a piece laek about two centimeters long filled with cheese and in a sea of sauce to convey the grasp of “more”. the crispy szechuan cauliflower and aubergine, on the other hand, contained large parts of the two components of the teller. similar to the net, the green thai chicken contained three very large portions of huh in different shapes: a large chicken breast as the main component of the Thai chicken shell, accompanied by a huge serving of shredded chicken in rice, and a huge Bao beer filled with a large piece of baked chicken. while the various components were delicious, it was just chicken overload, almost like three main dishes as one, and much too much. the same applies to the puddings we have chosen. the dog inn trifle was a huge bowl with lemon-rossel sponge, with white chocolate-creuzard, and celestial gel and sorbet. the yorkshire rhubarb cheesecake, on the other hand, was a very small roll of cheesecake with a puppy game of rhubarb sorbet and a few pieces of poached rhubarb. our meals were certainly delicious, and we enjoyed them. the hanger steak was cooked nicely after a discussion about it; it was clearly stated on the menu that the hanger steak was ‘Served ‘Pink or well Done’, but we were informed that it could not be ordered well. which condition is then on the menu? the dog is worth looking. it is in the beautiful and historical village pentrich, on the b1016 between the towns ripley and alfreton in derbyshire. we're coming back."
