very rude. it was recommended to cook sukiyaki. they said they were close, not good enough.

Excellent authentic Japanese. Wonderful value fixed price lunch. Great a la carte. Impeccable service, quick and charming. Finest ingredients well cooked and perfectly presented. Fair prices and has never disappointed in the twenty years I have been lunching here.

the decor is very simple, do not let it fool. Eating is exceptionally good with an extensive selection of sake and the waiter was friendly enough to explain everything thoroughly. the yellow **** sashimi is highly recommended has a firm taste as a laugh. many Japanese businessman who served a good note on the restaurant serving authentic Japanese cuisine. miyama is a really old school, very quiet, Japanese restaurant in the heart of mayfair. it is the kind of place they go to when they simply do not do with the Mayfair crowd, but they are in the neighbourhood and need a good food. her sushi and sashimi is super fresh and service is polite and efficient. we had the special Sashimi plate (picture) and it was great recommended.

I recommend miyama, especially her special 5-course dinner menu £38.) the courses I had: dobin mushi: really innovative that the suppe is presented in a teekanne. the broth is also rich in taste perfect for a winter evening. grilled scallops with Yuzu sauce: heavenly! small assorted: fresh fish that melts in the mouth. sorted Sashimi-Maki reels: yes, but it was so good! note that the sashimi is the same as in the previous curs. eis: we paid extra for the green tea aroma and it was worth it! so there is not much ambiente at miyama diners are surprisingly calm. but the diners around me were all japaners that strengthens that miyama is an authentic Japanese restaurant.

This was one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The quality of the fish and the skills of their sushi chef were both flawless. I had the large nigiri plate with a selection of 13 different nigiri, all of them were masterfully assembled and presented. I had sushi in restaurants twice as expensive but less delicious. Things to look out for: Grilled yellowtail nigiri Tuna belly nigiri Sweet water eel nigiri All staff have been extremely attentive at all times, friendly, helpful and polite. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant so I would also like to comment on the hygiene comment that one reviewer made: the chef, who was preparing the sushi in front of us, took one full...
