"Tonight I was at Caffè Aragno, a place I have been seeing for a long time with a cadence of a couple of times a month and usually in summer. Caffè Aragno is a historic bar of breo, dating back to 1929 and located in a central area in the city of Mondovì, near shops and other commercial points. It has many tables both inside and outside under the porticos of Corso Statuto: I am sure you will find place, even in the most crowded moments as on Friday evening and Saturday evening. You can choose from cafeteria, desserts, ice cream, fruit, salty, aperitifs, restaurant and event organization. I was there this evening to play chess with Atul a chess player arrived in Mondovì from India to play with me they sat on one of the high tables outside and I met boys from the surrounding area who were curious, asked me to play, sat down at the tables and took consummations. I usually take a coffee, a drink or a spritz, along with which I also bring some appetizers and savours; there would also be a choice of white and red wines. The management of the premises has changed over time, currently the manager is a member and the kitchen is typical Neapolitan. The staff has always been courteous, patient and kind to me: I think the waiters have done an exceptional job. A curiosity about the place: once, until the chairmanship of Osvaldo Borsarelli in 2005, the seat of the chess club of Mondovì was right here. I consider it a large bar, in a strategic point and from the higher cost to the standard, especially if it is consumed on the spot. The toilet is clean, blue, modern and small, at least for me to pee, or I'm too tall. The bar opens in the first morning and keeps open until midnight. Recommended. See you again. "Servizio discreto. Alla mia compagna hanno sbagliato bevanda in quanto le hanno servito un estathè alla pesca senza ghiaccio mentre lei aveva ordinato un estathè al limone con ghiaccio. Inoltre con il vitello tonnato, ho dovuto richiedere personalmente che mi fosse servito del pane mentre di norma negli altri ristoranti viene servito di prassi. Per il resto, servizio rapidissimo e comunque, personale molto disponibile e cordiale. La pizza aveva un impasto fine e ben cotto ma la farcitura era a mio avviso scarsa. I prezzi erano comunque più bassi delle altre pizzerie della zona. Esperienza comunque nel complesso, positiva."

"the very cozy place, and also friendly and kind staff, the only part of the burgers left us a little puzzled; the two hamburgers (from about 14€ each) were visibly different in size and one of the two was really small compared to the price (the one with the pork). Nothing to say about the goto, both were very good!"

"Prima volta in questo ristorante rinomato già molto conosciuto in zona. Si è rivelato essere il posto perfetto per il nostro pranzo domenicale tra amici. Il locale ha un arredamento molto originale: uno dei dettagli che più mi ha colpito è la disposizione al centro della sala, dove attaccati a una pila ci sono attorno diversi tavoli divisi da delle semplici tende. Per me una grande trovata perché fa molto casa, e infatti il locale è super accogliente, garantisce intimità ma allo stesso tempo non isola totalmente, continuando così a respirare l’aria conviviale del posto. Ma il locale è veramente ricco di dettagli: si sta davvero bene. I proprietari gentili dal primo secondo: disponibili, sempre attenti, mai invasivi. Cucina ottima: le portate erano sostanziose e molto buone. Infatti solo gli antipasti son riuscito a fotografare: il resto è sparito subito. Solita storia. Ad onor del vero quel giorno lì alcuni piatti son risultati un po’ salati, tant’è che uno dei proprietari spontaneamente ci è venuto a chiedere se alcune delle portate fossero troppo sapide. Non ci siamo lamentati perché era passabilissima come cosa, ma se ci fosse stato un problema più grande si sarebbero sicuramente offerti di correggerlo. Questo mi fa presumere che fosse solo un caso isolato perché si vede che la cucina è ben studiata e di qualità. Ottimo il consiglio che ci han dato sul vino: un Barbera che era la fine del mondo. Si sposava perfettamente con ogni piatto sia di carne che di pesce. I prezzi sono nella media: in 6 con due portate a testa, due vini e qualche dolce siamo attorno ai 40€ a testa. Si potrebbe dire un po’ caro ma mi sento di dire che: A. Il periodo è quello che è: purtroppo tutto costa tutto di più. B. La qualità c’è. C. Il locale è accogliente, ben strutturato: ti fa stare bene. Per me vale il prezzo per una domenica passata con amici in totale relax."
