To have an Indian Restaurant of this calibre on your doorstep is wonderful. Menu varied with some unusual twists. Food excellent and good value. Have eaten here several times and each time is as good as the last.

we booked a table for 4 after a successful day at the races, and the meal did not disappoint. Lovely food and great service to end a perfect race day on a high. thanks for making this short break in Newmarket a special experience. We will be back!

My friends and I had dinner in Newmarket. We were hesitant about trying Indian food outside of London, but we were convinced to give Montaz a try. We've now eaten here twice and both times the food and service has been excellent. The menu has different options from regular Indian restaurants and the food is full of flavour, the portions are generous. The service is spot on, the staff are polite and cheerful. The ambiance is perfect and relaxed, helped by the fact the restaurant is not too big. Thoroughly recommended.

My friend recommended Montaz, a restaurant where they eat regularly, and I must say none of us were disappointed. It is easily the best Indian food I have had in Newmarket or Cambridge. Each dish we tried was fragrant and beautifully spiced, with the lamb biryani standing out as outstanding. The paneer and chana vegetarian options were also excellent. We particularly enjoyed the ginger and honey naan, and I would choose it over the peshwari naan next time. The service was friendly and helpful, with lots of advice on portion sizes. We will definitely be returning, as it is a fantastic alternative to the usual work Christmas lunch.

We went to this restaurant with friends after a race, as it was recommended by a local taxi driver. The food was fantastic, with some classic Indian dishes that also had some unusual modern twists, such as quail and venison. The quality of the food was excellent, and it seemed to have less ghee than I usually find in Indian cuisine, while still maintaining great flavor. The service was also excellent - friendly, attentive, but not pushy or pretentious. Two of us had wine while the other two had beer, and we all felt that the meal was a great value for the price. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would visit often if we lived nearby. Ver carta
