Delicious entrees, fine wines, friendly staff. The experience made it to the top of my list and even went back within a week. Parking: Close to pay/after hours free parking lot across street. Booked in advance with vegan dietary requirements and we're told that was all fine. When we turned up we we're told that we couldn't eat any pasta as it was not vegan, even tho it was labelled vegan on the menu, and the Gnocchi was not vegan either. They also refused to make us any special dish. We were recommended we could have any sauce with bread, or that they would get food for us from another restaurant! So we left. Awful experience! We occasionally meet chums in Newmarket and this Italian was the place we agreed to meet for lunch. First time for us and overall a pretty good effort. Requested a better table but they couldn't accomodate the request, when obviously they could but no biggy . The food was good but not what I would call spectacular but would gladly go back and eat there again, so I would urge you to do the same. I think the trouble is we holiday in Tuscany, and frequent several high end Italian restaurants here in the Midlands. We may have been spoiled but seriously, this is a place I would gladly eat at again when next in Newmarket and as I said would urge you to have a run at it too. Malcolm Clarke Rugby Wa... Ver carta
