Lovely welcome from amazing staff, even had a photo with the owner! Very accomodating to our children. The food was superb, real home cooked Italian. Will deffo be back.

Charming Italian restaurant located in a historic building atop a hill on the edge of town center. Offers a diverse menu with a variety of dishes, including daily specials beyond just pizza and pasta. Desserts are also a must-try and absolutely delicious.

We had an excellent dining experience here for my husband's birthday. The food was delicious, fresh and served piping hot. The ambience in the restaurant was great. The staff were very attentive, with a very special thank you to Elaine. For lovers of Italian food our visit was absolutely spot on.

I stopped by for a to-go pizza. The staff was very friendly and relaxed. They made the pizza right in front of me and even offered me a place to sit and have a drink while I waited. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful. They accommodated my garlic allergy by making me a white pizza. It was delicious and I highly recommend this place.

I went to this restaurant with my coworkers for dinner. Everything about this place was fantastic - the food was excellent and the service was top-notch. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem if you're in the area. There is also plenty of parking available at the restaurant. Honestly, I'm not one to leave reviews often, but after my experience at Monte Casino tonight, I felt compelled to share. The whole evening was like no other I've had before, and the food was exceptional. The friendly atmosphere, with staff always smiling and engaging with customers, made it a true gem of a restaurant in the area. I've now discovered my new favorite place to dine out. Excellent!

Doesn't look much from the outside on a dark night but amazing once you walk through the door. You're warmly greeted by staff and ushered passed the open kitchen and wee bar through to beautifully decorated dining area. Heaps of choice on the menu and a few specials of the day. We opted for pizza and pasta special. Both were absolutely delicious. Big glasses of cold Peroni on tap and Italian merlot washed the food down nicely. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will be back again.

Monte Casino is our go-to restaurant in the Borders. We frequent it most weekends due to the excellent service provided by Antonio and his staff, not to mention the consistently fabulous food. We held our wedding reception here in May and opted for an Italian feast paired with high quality Italian wine. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the wedding cake, made by Antonio himself, was nothing short of spectacular. We highly recommend Monte Casino to anyone seeking a unique and special dining experience. Antonio and his team truly know how to make your occasion unforgettable. Ver carta
