Amazing fish n chips. Great quality, not greasy, definitely recommend. In the main shopping area of Scarborough but worth the short walk off the main sea front.

Thee best gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas in North Yorkshire. Great food and portion size with brilliant service. Favourite place in Scarborough....highly recommend.

Beautiful fish and scampi. Something for all the family in a lovely traditional setting. We'll done for having a lift also which meant we could bring my daughter who is in a wheelchair. Lovely experience.

I’ve had lunch at MH with friends and family on a number of occasions. We have between us tried most dishes on the menu and always found the food to be excellent. I must recommend the Lemon Sole, and the Scampi. They are the best I’ve tasted any where I’ve eaten, and I eaten at many venues I’m in my 94th year).

Been coming to Mother Hubbard for the last 12 years, Always get treated like as a friend, With having Celiac Disease it's great to eat out, knowing that you will be taken care of. We have to travel from Derbyshire to have Gluten free scampi,, Having Prostate Cancer as well, its GREAT to go to the gents, CLEAN, but really C L E A N Take the time to find this First class Sea food restaurant if unsure just ring them, for directions.

Whenever we visit Scarborough (every 3 4 weeks) we eat here. This place must do the best fish and chips in the country. Food is always fresh and batter is so light and crispy. Service is quick and staff are polite and obliging. Seasonal specials and other foods are on the menu too. We always look forward to our visit here and we can highly recommend this place. We are a family of 4 adults with a wheelchair and there is an efficient lift to the restaurant for us all. If you love your food, we'll probably see you there.

When I first saw the menu, I had some fears that the place would be a sort of throwback to the 1970s, so reminiscent was it of the sort of choice offered back then. But I needn't have worried: Mother Hubbard's is a hidden gem, with fresh food and professional service in smart surroundings. We had a lovely waitress called Lily who was friendly and well-informed. The food was served quickly and was easily the freshest fish and chips I've ever had. Portions are not so big that you have to leave some, as in some competitors, and the prices are good value.
