"If you want tea and cake, let's face it you can get it pretty much any supermarket or eaterie. If you want a generous piece of really delicious cake and a nice cup of tea as well as friendly and helpful customer service, well just go to Mrs. B's! Sausage rolls are nice too if you want something savoury! Last time I went I had just been to hospital and was feeling a bit sorry for myself, but a visit to Mrs B's soon changed that. It doesn't take much to put on a smile and chat in a friendly way with your customers but it does make a real difference. Mrs. B's is great if you want to sit down for a light lunch with family/friends or just pop in for a quick cuppa while you're waiting for someone to go shopping. Highly recommended!"

It's a local tea shop together with a variety of antiques shops and craft shops all individually owned. It works well, and it's a nice place to have a cup of tea and a piece of home made cake.

The place is clean and attractive to look at , as you enter there are array of cakes to tempt you, The assistants are polite and very helpfull. The food is all fresh and well presented. Pricewise it is not to expensive for the quality you receive.

My favourite is chicken and bacon baguette with all fillings (except sweet corn)...so Deeeeeeelicious. Home made cakes look great too most of the staff are very good.. Will visit again soon...give The cafe a try at Newton Hall its worth it. Only complaint is some things are over priced.

This place is really nice. They have taken a building which doesn't lend itself naturally to a good, quality tearoom style but they have made it work. The staff are lovely and they are very accommodating to gluten-free diets.Decor is lovely and great food and value for money.I will visit again and regularly. I have only used this little sandwich shop on about 6 occasions and i rate it the best in Rushden by a mile.We purchased some christmas turkey, stuffing and cranberry baquettes from here recently and they were top notch.I am however a little concerned for their business as this is listed in the wrong location.

A great place to pop in to enjoy homemade cakes, sandwiches, panini, jacket potatoes and a lovely cup of tea or coffee. The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious! Generous portions and all served on an eclectic mix of teacups and plates and teapots. Really light environment but with a homely feel. Highly recommended.

We visit Mrs B's when we get the chance always enjoy the fresh baguettes sandwiches salads made on the premises, the homemade quiche cheese straws are really moreish too. I ordered a birthday cake for a friends mum when I collected it I was over the moon. It was a Victoria sponge cake covered in white icing with lovely pink iced flowers all over it. My friends mum lives in a residential home the cake kept them going for a good few days. Definitely worth a try Ver carta

As there are two Mrs B's in Rushden now I would like to say both are fantastic. The one on the high street is better if you are looking for a takeaway lunch but the one in Newton Hall is brilliant if you are looking for a lunch or even just a cup of coffee or tea. I am a regular customer of Mrs B's and the food is lovely; panini's, jacket potato's, sandwiches which are all made freshly and always have a lovely side salad. The cakes are quite simply delicious too. The atmosphere is wonderful too, promoting small businesses in the shop and reminding me how great Rushden can be. Definitely recommend!

I don’t think vegan sandwich and pastry options are normally available on the cafe menu, but when we contacted in advance to book cream teas for a large group Mrs B’s went above and beyond to make us all welcome. I was the only vegan in the group and I was spoiled!! Vegan sausage roll, pie, Mouse cake, rocky road, jack fruit and sheese and salad sandwiches! My advice would be if you are vegan and you want an amazing place to eat and feel completely welcome in Rushden then give Mrs B’s a ring and let them know in advance so they can get a few bits in and you won’t be disappointed! Thankyou Mrs B’s you made one very happy vegan!

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
