"The chef was awesome and he exceeded expectations with the food. Five stars quality food. Our guests were happy. However, regarding customer service and service delivery received from the Assistant manager Jen was disappointing and awful. The Falcon Inn is an old pub with character situated in a quiet village. The O was chosen as the perfect venue for our celebration. Unfortunately the Assistant manager 'Jen ' turned it into one of the worst days I could not have imagined. From taking my nonrefundable deposit and misselling the service they could provide for my special day. I was promised music for my 20 guests upon arrival. There was none, no apology or willingness from Jen to resolve. The entertainers for my kids and guests were told they were too loud, disrupting the pub customers. She blamed the wifi connectivity issue on my guests. The night before I came to setup. She assured me help would be provided, by herself or staff. Not the case. We tested the speakers and connected to the wifi fine. Even moved the speakers from the kitchen to the event room and it worked fine. On the day nothing worked and Jen blamed it on us. Would I go back, for the food yes. To see Jen again, no."

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, but my pigeon madras starter and guinea fowl main course were excellent. However I thought the ales and lagers a bit expensive. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Ver carta

We had an exceptional meal at the Falcon last night. My best mate Tom, who is a local to the Falcon asked them to curate a 4 course menu for his birthday, for a party of around 30 of us. The food, the service and organisation of the meal was exceptional. Every bite was delicious, in particular the lamb and salmon dishes. A massive thank you to the chefs and team at the falcon for putting out such an excellent service. ️ Service: Dine in Ver carta

A very disappointing experience. Firstly, we were served complimentary bread which was served completely hot and very clearly microwaved it was also quite inedible as it was very tough and near enough impossible to eat, quite possibly because it had been microwaved for so long. Our starters were okay, with the nicest part being olives, however the roast lamb was also well below average and didn't live up to expectation. We didn't bother with desserts as they had sold out of half of them (it was a sunday early lunchtime) and the table next to us had an nightmare ordering them which resulted in their desserts coming out at different times. Service was okay, however very slow considering we wer...

As locals, we have eaten at The Falcon many a time over the years mainly, but not always, being perfectly happy with the food and service. However, our last visit was a real disappointment. Usually the bar and restaurant are busy and the atmosphere convivial, especially on a Friday, but when we arrived, apart from a large noisy family do in the conservatory (we decided to eat in the bar there were only a couple of other tables occupied. By 8.30pm all the tables apart from one other and the bar itself were completely empty so the whole place was eerily quiet. Given this and that there were only three of us (7pm arrival the service was iffy (very slow to even bring us the menus, ordering water...

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
