"Not worth it. Poor service (though they tried) and average food for a high price is disappointing. Our coffees were served late and after our food. One plate came out hot and the server was holding with a towel she handed it to my friend instead of putting it down. We had 3 occasions where food and drink was brought to us that we didn’t order. Food was under seasoned. Hollandaise tasted bland and from a jar. Could have done with a splash more acid. Bread was fine, but when paying £14 I felt a bit cheated. Generally just overpriced and not worth it despite the fact I’m sure they put the effort in."

Absolutely fantastic breakfast (Brunch burger VERY lovely staff. Chilled, modern, fantastic views. I personally thought it was great value for what I thought was a luxury breakfast. I think my new fave brunch place in the area!

Visited for lunch on a trip to Penryn. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside and staff very friendly. The brunch menu was quite substantial with a varied choice. Our food arrived quickly and portion sizes were very good. The meals tasted great and overall everything was really high standard. Would definitely visit again. Ver carta

What a wonderful place. We had cornish cream tea for two and it was gorgeous. Warm soft scones, plenty of jam and cream with tea and coffee. The place itself is beautifully decorated, staff are friendly and polite, toilets are clean and nicely done. There is inside and outside seating, with a lovely view. An all round lovely experience.

What can I say….. we’re full to bursting!!! From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out…. Full!!… it was a lovely friendly experience. Cam, our waiter, was a star…. Chatty, informative, interested in our trip…. well both waiters were great to be fair. It’s been about 18 months since we were last here and knew we had to return!

Lovely place right on the sea, comfy seats, great menu and really tasty coffee. Down a point for the obnoxiously loud music, weird atmosphere to have loud dance music on at 10am on a Sunday morning! The music only gets louder in the evening, ruining the peace of the area. It's a bit of a weird vibe for such an idyllic, relaxing and gorgeous venue. Ver carta

Lovely to find this restaurant situated in the harbour at Penryn. Nice atmosphere and decor inside we booked a table but probably didn’t need to as had plenty of spaces. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn’t fully appreciate the lovely views this restaurant has overlooking the river. The food was well cooked and presented well the service was good would definitely go back here again.

Although this cafe has been open many years it has transformed from its early vegan only days to a true gem. Very nice menu offering a wide range of main meals or small tapas plates. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Informal atmosphere suitable for children and young babies. Outside dining area is large and wonderful views of Falmouth estuary. Food, especially fresh fish and seafood is prepared well by an excellent chef and it is value for money. If you are in the area make it a stop for breakfast lunch dinner or just a cuppa and marvellous cakes.

"A good venue for a decent meal and peaceful night 's sleep in a convenient location. Some niggles. Liked · The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and the beds were v.comfortable. Functional and clean bathrooms with heated/steam free mirrors always a nice touch. The bedroom anciliary double gazing worked well to significantly reduce the passing traffic noise to the front (since property is right on the A39 . The included breakfast was tasty. This is a friendly, cosy and clean Pub in an ideal location for both Truro and Falmouth (being roughly midway . We had the Sunday Carvery and thought that this was tasty and reasonable value for money. Although we did experience some issues, we would likely consider staying again. Our summary would be that it 's a good venue that has the potential to be great, with some further attention to basic details (like: functional bedroom heating more joined up bar service . Disliked · The in room heating (appeared to be wall mounted electric oil filled radiators could NOT be made to function in either of our rooms AT ALL giving the appearance of being past their best, with illegible small LED control panels for which there were no instructions supplied. This was faulted out to the staff on our first evening (of a 3 night stay and, although we were informed that the manager will come out tomorrow these were NEVER successfully remedied whilst we were there. We were provided with a small portable oil filled radiator, which served our purposes OK but suggest that, once frosts and 'proper ' Winter sets in, the inability to heat bedrooms effectively will very likely prove to be an issue for future guests(! Although the staff were generally very friendly, there was an occasion on one of the evenings, when a drinks/snack order was placed with the passing staff member and after a 10 mins plus wait (were thinking just how long does it take to pour 2x drinks and grab a bag of snacks? the same staff member was chased, only to receive the reply: The receipt machine is broken, so the order didn 't go through... SO... have a backup system, then maybe?!!! (possibly we 'd still be waiting? Another observation was that many of the staff appeared to be very young and had the air of being rather inexperienced... but then we guess that everyone has to learn somehow. Parking: Parking filled rapidly on Weekends so worth arriving a little early to secure a spot. Price per person: £100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Roast Beef, Full English Breakfast, Moules Mariniere, Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking"
