"Og, die Sie jemals geschickt haben, um in einem ungestörten, schönen, schönen Tal zu wandern, verpassen Sie nicht das Fextal. Kein Auto (außer dem Personal) ist erlaubt und es hat alles, einen Fluss, der von den Gletschern kommt, saftig grüne Hügelseiten, Kühe mit Glocken und wunderbare Wanderungen!Das Hotel Fex selbst ist ein altes Holzgebäude und bietet Zimmer mit spektakulärer Aussicht. Die Mahlzeiten sind solide und schmackhaft und kompensieren sowohl anstrengende als auch leichte Wanderungen. Das Personal ist freundlich und bietet hervorragende Vorschläge für Wanderungen und Touren. Wir haben es genossen!"

"Wir waren innerhalb von zwei Jahren zum dritten mal im Longhin zum Abendessen und erneut sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich mit einem modernen Holz-Stein-Glas Interieur. Das Lokal war gut besucht aber man hatte trotzdem kein beengendes Gefühl. Die Speisen waren sehr solide und lecker im Geschmack. Die Speise-Auswahl aus einem Mix von italienisch-schweizerischer Küche trifft voll unseren Geschmack. Die Bedienung war sehr freundliche und zuvorkommend. Leider war die verständigung in Deutsch nur beschränkt möglich, man hat sich aber gefunden und so war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Wir kommen sicher wieder."

"We stopped for a snack stop on our journey. We know the prices of the Engadine well but we leave it up to you to judge how much we spent for what we consumed: 3 normal slices of strudel with 3 tablespoons of vanilla sauce 12.50 francs per slice 1 slice of Linz 6.50 francs 2 cans of Coca-Cola 4.80 francs each. 2 herbal teas 4.80 francs each. Total 63.20 francs at the exchange rate in euros 70.00 euros We didn 't see the prices of the cakes because they weren 't written on the menu. Maybe we would have spent less by having lunch and reading the list? If you ask if you can pay in euros, you expect the exchange rate and perhaps you round up to avoid the coins, but the head waiter who is evidently not Swiss rounded up too much, in fact his colleague, as I expected, was giving me the rest in francs, but he stopped him. Average desserts, good but incorrect service at the time of change, welcoming environment with a view of the lake if you are on the veranda or outside, otherwise a normal place. "We arrived on a very busy evening to a full house, greeted by the owner (wife) and daughter Elena who escorted us to our table.I was presented with the wine list, and saw some real Italian bargains...like a 2007 Barolo 1.5 liters for 176 CHF. The list was so extensive i asked if they had a wine cellar. Elena promptly gave us a tour of the lower level which had a room where the game hunted by her father were cured, a nice private special event room...pleasant aromas of the game filled the air...the wine cellar was there and had cases of every premium Italian wine one could imagine. I was impressed she took time out of a busy evening to give my party a tour.We started with an extensive charcuterie dish featuring Prosciutto di Cervo Crudo, regional Salami and Speck.We couldn't quite decide on a common first course particularly when it was discovered the Foie Gras terrine was Goose...as opposed to Duck...my wife was anxious as this is her favorite, and it was simply amazing. I had a Grilled or Seared Goose Liver, my friends ordered Pizzochery...all good.Main courses were Venison Medallions, Venison Stroganoff, and Risotto with thin sliced Venison. Perfect, each one.Dessert, they had Cinnamon Ice Cream, Strudel, and Prunes...WowWe all left happy,"

"Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schön und die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Einrichtung und sämtliches Mobiliar sind jedoch sehr in die Jahre gekommen, möchte aber betonen das ich nicht die nostalgischen Dinge meine. In unserem Hotelzimmer war noch ein Teppich verlegt und man roch auch das Hunde im Hotel erlaubt sind(Habe nichts gegen Hunde und Hotels in welchen Hunde erlaubt sind).Wir haben drei Nächte mit Halbpension gebucht und waren total enttäuscht vom ersten Abendessen sodas wir noch am gleichen Abend die Halbpension gestrichen haben um uns das Abendessen die nächsten zwei Abenden offen zu lassen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr marginal und auch etwas bieder präsentiert, wäre aber halb so schlimm wenn die Qualität stimmen würde. Zum Frühstück gab es Filterkaffee und wenn man einen Espresso gewünscht hat wurde einem freundlich gesagt das der zweite dann kostet. Alles in allem stimmt aus meiner Sicht das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in diesem Hotel überhaupt nicht, wir sind schlussendlich einen Tag früher abgereist. Nicht zu empfehlen!"
