"Berlin is full of trendy and hip places that sometimes pretend to be something they are not however Mutzenbacher's Schnitzelpuff stays true to its heritage. It's an Austrian restaurant that fits well into Berlin's cool and hip scene with a little bit of trash but still some excellent authentic Austrian food. The owner and chef prides himself with only serving the best quality meals. He sources the ingredients directly from Austria and you can taste that. You can get a Wiener Schnitzel pretty much everywhere but not the way Mr. Steiner does it. Thin slices of organic veal fried in pork fat and which results in the golden color and a crust with waves. All other dishes which I tried very delicious too especially the Kaspressknoedelsuppe (that's a mouthful) and the Kaiserschmarrn. Couple these dishes with typical Austrian hospitality and a decent wine list with even better prices and you have yourself a fun evening out. Highly recommended."
