"Gut, dass wir das entdeckt haben! Besonders draußen ein phantastisches Ambiente, wie in einem italienischen Garten, traumhaft. Die Mitarbeiter sind außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr professionell, gefällt uns gut. Die Speisekarte beinhaltet italienische Küche vom Feinsten mit Fleisch-, Fisch-, Pasta- und (hervorragenden) Pizzagerichten, die hausgemachten Pasta sind in allen Variationen ein Genuss. Besonders hat es uns das Rumpsteak angetan, einmal mit frischer Waldpilz-, das andere mit Pfeffersoße. Weiterhin gibt es eine Art Tageskarte, die in Form einer großen Tafel auf rollbarer Staffel neben den Tisch gebracht wird, da hat es auch noch das eine oder andere „Schätzchen“. Fazit: Mittlerweile reisen wir ca 100 km an, um dort zu sein. Gerne laden wir auch gute Freunde dorthin ein. Die Preise sind sehr überschaubar und lassen einen nicht erschrecken. Ein wirklich exzellentes Restaurant in entspannter Atmosphäre mit extrem leckerem Essen! Toll!"

"Sehr empfehlenswertes neues kulinarisches Extra im Zentrum von Lahr. Das Gesamtkonzept ist modern und kommt sehr gut an. Leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, die Getränke sind allerdings definitiv teurer als in anderen Lokalen der Stadt. Der Leiter des Services ist sehr umsichtig, kompetent und freundlich, andere Mitarbeiter allerdings sind wohl eher ungelernt. Wir wurden nach unserer Bestellung von drei verschiedenen "Kellnern/Kellnerinnen" gefragt, ob wir bestellen möchten... Auch der Bezahlvorgang war nicht ganz problemlos.Das Ambiente gefällt mir sehr gut und der Andrang ist groß. Am besten sicherheitshalber vorher einen Tisch reservieren."

"We lived in Lahr many years ago, so this was a culinary trip down memory lane for a basic Schnitzel, and our first time at the Gruener Baum. It did not disappoint. The decor is traditional, tables well spaced. At lunch they were full. We ordered Schnitzel with fries, side salad, beer and wine. Our friend ordered a lovely Spring salad with asparagus and salad. All was beautifully presented, Schnitzels were piping hot and tender, and the service was very good. There was a slight mix-up with the bill, as we thought we had ordered the half portion (and commented that if this was half, we wouldn't want to have the full size!) As it turns out the waitress didn't hear our request for "halb-portion" so we had and paid for the large...leaving behind a lot of fries. Very nice lunch."

"A very nice, family-run hotel. Our room was very large, clean and had a quiet location. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. We were there for the business Christmas party and were pampered with a very good menu. For a holiday in the Black Forest with culinary delicacies exactly the DIRECT!"

"A very nice Italian restaurant in the centre of Lahr. Absolutely recommended and certainly worth a visit. It should be reserved beforehand because it is not particularly large. Parking can take place before parking is free, but it is recommended to park in one of the parking spaces or larger parking spaces in the area. The boss and the rest of the staff are super nice and friendly. The food was mega tasty, the portions sufficient and really appropriate in the price ratio. The pasta is even made and you taste it. The pizza was also great that even the edge was a pleasure. A great restaurant."
