"My Fiancé and I visited, our best restaurant experience in Leicester to date. Very easy online booking. Customer service- Outstanding, Taste- Explosion. 10/10 Perfect dining experience, our best in Leicester yet. Upon entrance to the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by staff and were able to take our names and escorted us directly to our seats. Ordering was very convenient, starters arrived within 5-10min of ordering. Drinks and platters came before that. By the time we finished starters, our mains were around 10 minutes from this time. As photographed, all was presented with immaculate care, staff constantly checking in that everything is ok with the food and service. Despite the busy Saturday night crowds, the service was exceptional and we truly felt appreciated as customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"Ate in the restaurant here on Saturday night and it was so lovely. V friendly waitress (ginger girl). Had the steak and ale pie (LOADS of onions, not much steak and a lot of pastry so bear this in mind if you want a meat heavy pie but the few chunks that were in there were v tender). But the veg that came with the pie was delicious, not overdone like most pub meals! My friend had the pork belly bao burger. She said the meat was really nice, but the whole thing a bit too tangy? The fries were v good. We shared the kinder cookie dough dessert but it was a bit overdone, more of a cookie than cookie dough. Wish we got the Biscoff bread and butter pudding! But it’s a really nice pub, the Malbec was delicious and was bustling on a rainy sat night."

"17 of us came here for a family meal to celebrate a 21st birthday yesterday. The food was amazing! A proper roast dinner that actually tasted like it had all been made from scratch. The meat was beautiful! The service was fab, even though there was quite a few of us to accommodate. The meals all came out very quickly, all together and were nice and hot. Nothing was too much of a problem for the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The birthday girl even received a card from the axe and square. Would definitely recommend!"

"First time trying. There's no way to put it, really its an utter disgrace to indian style cooking an absolute embarrassment.. tikka massala flavourless, not even a hint of spice, same with the bhuna. There's no experience in this kitchen.. undercooked naan over cooked bargies. Something within the kitchen needs to be changed.and the bombay potatoes are also tasteless no bombay insite just watery potatoes. And yes I did a covid test before this to make sure my tastebuds we're not playing me."

"I went with my parents and partner to have a steak lunch on Sunday, December 3rd. The atmosphere was wonderful, with a Christmas feel and very family-friendly. The service was good, although there was one mistake that was quickly fixed and we received apologies. Overall, I would give it a 4 out of 5. The food was excellent, we all had different steaks which were all delicious. I always recommend this place to others, especially for the amazing beef dripping sauce.
